Nice to be able to drive to the lake for a swim. There are good toilets and outdoor showers there plus a pontoon for jumping off.

Awesome family spot. Safe swimming loads of parking. Best picnic spot. Lacking in shade around the main area but plenty if you walk around a bit further.

I now know where Christchurch goes when they don't want to go to the beach. If you are going, go early as parking was at premium when I was there. Beautiful place with easy access from central city.

I do enjoy walking this area most often.The teens dragon boat here and swim many afternoons in a normal week...we enjoy a nice handy area with so much to offer..also one of the few places you can go and have a nice space for your family without too many others too close..like at a beach sometimes!

Awesome place to take the kids swimming generally it's quite clean would be 5stars if it had a playground installed and the road up to this reserve was Abit nicer horribly bumpy and uneven other than that awesome
