Funnily enough this place has the best beef burger I’ve had in welly, one of the cheapest too. For under $10 get your hands on a juicy, cheesy, saucy and reliable burger that’ll satisfy every burger need you’ve ever felt. Cannot wait for my next one. Come for the burger and stay for the minimal ambiance and strange seating. Love this place

Perfect for affordable and casual dining. Had the Mom burger which had a spicy chickpea patty. The bun did get very soggy though. I'd recommend seeing if they could toast them. But overall was a great place.

Had the Ekim Original and the Esther. While this place was really hyped for us, we were not very impressed. The Ekim lacked in flavour and salt, though at least it still had a smokey flavour. The Esther was better, because of the beetroot relish which gave it some nice sweetness. Both burgers had very soft buns which tend to disintegrate, but on the plus side, the cheese had a very nice melt and pull.The fries were very good tho and the waiting time was short! Unfortunately, they don’t sell alcohol.It was worth to try it out, but not interested in seconds.

Tasty burger, great value at about $20 for a burger, drink and fries. I went at opening on a wet cold Sunday so was the first one there. I can definitely see this place being a vibe when it’s busy. The burger was sizeable : the patty, bun and toppings worked well. Visiting from Australia, I’d say the burger was akin to a burger you’d get from the corner takeaway shop or fish and chip shop. A good old fashioned hearty burger.

I've been meaning to go to Ekim for a while and finally got around to it. This place is amazing!! The burger (Pills Rob) was definitely one of the best I've ever had (and I'm a chef so I'm quite picky), the young man serving was friendly and did a great job whacking out a bunch of burgers quickly. In fact it's so good I'm drooling as I type. I'm going back right now to try a different burger. Do it, you won't regret it!

Really like this place. Good prices for the burgers you get. Super tastey. Then venue is pretty vibey as well. I got a Beefy Pete. At the time of the review (24/12/2022), the price is $11 so pretty good. I've attached a picture of the menu from today's date, so go hard!

Awesome vibe and cool ambience. Hear a lot about this place online and I wasn’t disappointed. The corn fritter and chicken burger was awesome. Will be back again whenever in Wellington.

The best burger in town with a rugged setup with broken chairs, tables and whatever old things they could get.Just design it, spray paint them and hola, the ambience looks great.Must have their beef burgers which are really meaty and my friend liked the chicken one too.They don’t have combos but they have drinks and fries.

Amazing food and atmosphere, well worth the trip from out of town. If u want a great place to eat with amazing presentation and quality I recommend. Best burger I have ever had and the service was super quick. I recommend the Kranskys. Affordable for the quality 10/10
