Fantastic dumplings. The price is higher than most other places but the dumplings are worth it.....what's not worth is the surcharge on matariki...sorry but nope. Not acceptable when the dumplings cost $20. The one star for service is purely cause of the surcharge. Totally agree with the service call out from the owner, that the service was fantastic. The dumplings are arguably the best around.

Great service and short wait time. Love how they have so many different sauce options.Dumplings had more of bread-like texture than what was expected and found the monk ones were mostly just filled with bok-choy, didn’t really come across much tofu or mushrooms.Probably wouldn’t recommend if your after more of that silky & crispy dumpling texture but otherwise good.

Always been a big fan of Sumthin Dumpling - literally the best dumplings I’ve had. Had to review the new spot in mission bay since their one in Ponsonby closed and it did not disappoint. We got a mix of flavours & delicious as per usual, Monk is still my absolute fave! Great service too, the girl serving (didn’t catch her name sorry) was lovely & very happy to help with anything.

Yum as dumplings! Great size, flavour. Good tunes playing with a chill vibe. Service was happy, friendly and inviting. We had the Great White, The Monk, Beef & cheese dumplings.

Sumthin Dumplin Mission Bay
After sitting for few hours at Starbucks, I saw this place just across the street, and thought why don’t I try it. I looked nice and clean from outside, not too busy and reasonably affordable. I ordered the the regular sized 6 monk dumplings, with mushrooms, cabbage, seasoned with garlic sauce. What a great combination! Service was fast and courteous. Worth the visit !

Amazing dumplings run by a lovely family. The customer service is exceptional and you get given hand made dumplings made with love. More than enough to feed more than one person. Will definitely be back.
