I brought my cello (which had travelled litteraly half way across the world) saturday morning unannounced and with no appointment. Nevertheless Mitch, the luthier, took the time to set back the standpost , the tailpiece, adjust the bridge and tune the instrument.Thanks for bringing back my old friend to life.The warm welcome and the reasonable fee are also appreciated.

We brought in my great grandmother's violin to be refurbished, and they did an amazing job, lovingly restoring her to her former glory. The sound is absolutely heavenly. It took a bit longer than estimated due to the Xmas and New Year holidays, but the quality of the workmanship was definitely with the wait. The billing was itemized and fair. We might come back and book to get the violin professionally valued for insurance purposes.

Few months ago, I had my daughter’s Violin strings changed and tuned. the process went so smoothly, specially this is new to me have got no clue how to do it and which product to use.The staff and their services were just fabulous and made my day. Will definitely come more and would not hesitate to recommend to anyone to visit the shop for those who want quality products and great services.

Ridiculously expensive, Cath quoted me $120 to carve a bridge for my violin. Got a full set up and fingerboard adjustment for a third of the price by another luthier in north shore. They were absolutely shocked when they saw what was quoted and most of it was apparently unnecessary! Make sure to get quotes elsewhere!-Edit: $260 for a fitted bridge?? A Despiau 3 tree bridge costs about $60 so you would charge $200 to carve it? My luthier only charged $50 to carve it, your prices are insane. Even the luthiers in Australia didn't charge that much.

Great shop. very helpful staff. I took multiple violins home to try for a week each and I ended up getting a really nice violin from here. Also, the violin I liked needed some adjustment (the action was too high) and they fixed it for me (for free). Great shop! If you want to buy a stringed instrument, I think its definitely better to go here rather than get a factory made instrument from one of the big music stores.
