Everything about this restaurant and bar is urban chic, the staff were so accommodating when I went all pretentious. The food was delicious, the wine list doesn't do the food justice however. It was packed on a Sunday and many beautiful people were there to dine and chitty chat and laugh. Ambience - 20 out of 10, food 20 out of 10. Great small band venue with a pub feel from the 80s. Place is a little rough around the edges but has a great feeling...well run, great bands....often metal and death metal but also Dunedin sound like Black sale house.

The Crown is one of the last standing dirty grubby live music venues and it is fantastic! Full of old school, small town vibes but always a good show. Absolutely kudos to the support the Crown gives to our Dunners music scene, and it's always a good time.
