Probably the best carbonara I’ve ever had in NZ, pizza was delicious too. Staff are really helpful when you’re not sure what you wanna order, we also talked to the chefs for a long time as it was empty and they are really friendly and cool.

The service is lovely, and the setting quaint. We ordered a pasta each, and although it fit the description, we both longed for a little something more. The sauces on both pastas were adequate, but perhaps lacked a five star depth. I just felt I could have made the pasta at home.We THEN ordered a Woodfire pizza to go which was an 8/10.

Great pizza! the service was spectacular, the young female waitress was very accommodating and it made my day! she walked us through the menu and made sure me and my husband were well taken care of the whole night. it is so very rare to see young people working hard these days and it was so refreshing to see our future putting in the work! Great pizza they have gained a new loyal custom.

I've been a loyal patron of this establishment for over seven years, but my most recent experience was profoundly disappointing. It was one of the poorest services I've ever encountered. It seemed as though children were operating the place, with three of them more engrossed in their phones than in serving the customers. Their inattention was glaringly obvious.Our order, which consisted of four pizzas and sides, was botched. Only three pizzas made it to our table, and they bore toppings that we hadn't requested. Additionally, the drinks we received were not the ones we ordered.When one is shelling out premium prices for pizza, it's reasonable to anticipate an excellent experience in return. However, the pizzas were soggy and lacked structural integrity.It's clear that the management needs to take a hard look at the state of affairs in the restaurant, including their choice of staff. It's a sad end to our patronage of what was once our favorite pizza joint in Auckland.

We usually go to the Takapuna one but they are under renovation so we came to this one- because their pizza is the best! Our little one was disappointed there was no fluffy here. The lovely owner bought one for her from the cafe nearby. What a warm gesture! It made our day!

Worst experience ever! The service was terrible and the food mediocre. I waited over an hour for a pizza that was more than disappointing for the $39 it cost. After all the wait you would expect the staff would at least be polite and kind... unfortunately this was not the case. They made me and my partner move some seats at the bar to a corner so we could leave 3 seats to the Manager's girlfriend who got her pizzas in less than 10 minutes... after we had been waiting for over an hour!!! How insulting! No starters or side dishes were available and the pizzas did not have the right ingredients. For example, instead of arugula they would use salad mezclum from the supermarket. Definitely unacceptable. The waitress never came to check whether we needed anything (i.e. more drinks or if we wanted a dessert). Save your time and go somewhere else.

Terrible customer service, untrained rude staff who also encourage fast alcohol consumption. Pizza is good but at $39 for a regular size pizza you can get same or better quality at some fantastic Italian institution restaurants along Ponsonby at same or cheaper price however with an incredible service and better atmosphere… look at other recent reviews for this place and you will see similar feedback re customer service & pizza quality. not worth it.

Incredible service, fast, efficient, good floor layout, comfortable atmosphere, good music, set the mood really well. Staff were extremly friendly, if I could give 10 stars I would, most authentic italian restaurant i’ve ever visited, lives up to its name of 3rd best in the world!

Great pizza. Only downside was the staff were a bit preoccupied/slow in taking orders etc. and kept forgetting things we'd asked for. Nice atmosphere though and the staff were super friendly.
