Hilton Lake Taupo

i only stayed for a night, however they accommodated for us perfectly. They were going to hold onto our luggage for us as we did activities until it turned out our room was ready early for us! When we got back we enjoyed time in the heated pull, sat in the sauna and then went down for a delicious dinner. We had the salmon and beef which were amazing, topped it off with the dessert platter between 2. All for an appropriate prices well. Definitely wish we could’ve stayed longer!

Spacious room, most friendly amazing reception and restaurants staff, great location specially the lake view one, and the sauna and jacuzzi was extreme relaxing, they also offered us free voucher to the hot pool debrets few steps from the hotel.

Amazing service. Hosts were very helpful and accommodating. Room was a little dated with some features not working. Would be nice if there was extra towels and larger mugs for a decent cup of tea. We had in room dining for dinner, they catered to allergies very well. Room service was fantastic.

I am aware that Covid has made staffing difficult, but why do you need to give a time for a buffet breakfast, and when you enquire at reception for room service you are told that there is none. On top of this the menu for dining didn’t change over our 3 day stay, told that due to low number of customers they don't bother, perhaps if they were more inventive they might get more customers.We booked in a group of 9 and had to have a 6.30 dinner sitting despite the fact that the restaurant was less than 25% full and it took the senior staff nearly 20 minutes to attend to our table. The junior staff are doing an excellent job, however the senior staff are letting the whole team down. And to make matters worse check in was slow and painful. The hotel is also quite a way out of town, with nothing nearby in the way of shops etc.This is the second Hilton our group has stayed in whilst in New Zealand and neither had great service.

Great place to enjoy a break. Facilities excellent. Our room was top notch. Restaurant and bar awesome. Highly recommend a getaway there.Taupo CBD is a credit to the town. Clean, modern, friendly and has everything you need.

Probably the WORST Hilton I’ve ever been to. I made my booking and requested a feather free room as I am allergic to feathers (this is also saved in my Hilton profile). I then called the property ahead of arrival to make sure that my note for a feather free room went through and to confirm my room was feather free and was assured that it was. Upon arrival I also asked at the front desk when checking in to make sure my room was feather free, and again assured it was. I get into the room and guess what, all feather pillows. I called the front desk and ask for immediate removal of all feather items and all bedding to be changed. Took housekeeping about 30 minutes to finally make it to my room- after a second phone call to the front desk. To my shock they brought couch cushions in pillow cases for pillows. Apparently all they could find was 2 pillows in a 131 room hotel that did not have feathers in them, due to the fact that there was also ONE other guest who had requested feather free room. So a 131 room hotel has a total of 4 feather free pillows. On top of that, my dinner in the restaurant was interrupted to be told that they could not find any other pillows without feathers.Unfortunately this property is also a bit tired and worn. Hallways and rooms need painting, furniture is dinged and scratched. Service in the restaurant is sub-par (ordered wine and had to asked for it again when my main course was brought out, had to ask for refill of water), and there was only 2 other tables occupied while I was in the restaurant. Generally just ignored by wait staff and bill was never brought to the table.This property is so far below normal Hilton standard that Hilton should be embarrassed to have the their name on this property.

Hilton Lake Taupo was amazing. Beautiful views, comfortable rooms that were extremely clean and spacious.The service was friendly and helpful for anything we required.Dinner was delicious and buffet breakfast had a wonderful variety to choose from.Pool and spa was sensational.Highly recommended

The service is second to none. The hotel is clean, spacious and I will definitely be back. You pay for what you get. 10/10. Thank you Peter and team.

Great stay with Hilton taupo. Comfortable rooms and location was great for peace and quiet. However if your planning on having somewhere within walking distance to town this is approximately 2km away
