Have stopped here every time I've passed through Geraldine since discovering this spot in early 2020! Super fresh cuts and a wide variety of top quality meats. The biltong is spot on and Mike offers great advice on what to do with your purchases at home! Made a great brisket low and slow on his recommendation. He's also stocks other items like Rummo pasta and fresh local cheeses so really this is a destination for foodies! But is also a great place to simply do your weekly shop as the prices are super reasonable and the quality is far greater than what you find at the big box super markets. If I lived in Geraldine I'd be in every third day I reckon!! Check this spot and bring a chilly bin if you're from out of town!

Shopping at its best. Michael and team know their stuff. The meat is presented beautifully. The best bacon ever. Steaks cut to one's specified thickness. And a bit of banter thrown in for free.

What a great butchery! Alongside the standard meat that you find at a butcher, there's a great selection of prepared meats to take home and cook, our favourites are lamb kofta and chicken Mignon. There’s a fabulous selection of sausages, perfect for the BBQ or Bangers and mash. The streaky bacon is truly delicious!Supporting our local businesses has become so much more important of late... check them out.

We lived in Geraldine for 20 years so we got to know Michael and the Geraldine Butchery very well. Always friendly, reliable and most importantly the meat was fantastic. The beef was well aged, the sirloin roasts superb. All his pork products were free range. Despite moving south to Central Otago, I have tried to stock up with him whenever passing through Geraldine. He is a top class butcher. We really miss his great products and friendly banter.

This is one of the best butchers I have ever been to. The range is amazing, the quality is exceptional and the service is stellar. It’s the best of the old-school tradition that we must hold on to as it’s such a treasure.Too pick: ask for the bacon ends cut into inch cubes. This adds amazing flavour to heaps of things but my fave is to dice it up a bit smaller, fry up and add to a home made potato salad.

Best butcher ever! Everything we’ve bought has been exceptional, refuse to go anywhere else. Staff are so friendly and put so much love into their food and service. 1000/10 couldn’t recommend enough !
