I was visiting a friend in Petone when I came across your beautiful bookshop. You have the most wonderfully curated range of children’s books (and I’m sure adults) I have seen in a long time. I bought a beautiful little board book for my 1 year old (who loves reading but is a bit heavy handed) and she absolutely LOVES it.I can’t wait to come back one day x

The best book store in New Zealand! It is not large, but the selection is beautifully curated to the point that I think every book is a winner! The children’s section is particularly amazing, but there are also many shelves of wonderful selections that will suit even the pickiest adult reader. Most importantly, the staff are both kind and knowledgeable.

I love browsing here. The staff will order in books for customers and they have a wealth of knowledge and are open to suggestions for new books. They will keep books for you if you phone and ask.

My favourite bookshop! I am a regular here, yet every time I visit there is something new and interesting to look at. They have such a beautiful collection of books, and if they don't have what you are looking for they will happily order it in for you. The staff are all awesome as well. If you're a local they have several book clubs I would highly recommend joining!

Schrödinger’s is my wonderful local bookshop. I can't say enough good things about it. The shop itself is beautiful, and its shelves are always packed full of books from every genre. I've bought so many gems there. The team (Mary, Joshua, Zak etc.) are all super friendly and knowledgeable, and give great recommendations. They'll track down even the most difficult-to-find titles for you, and they're incredibly supportive of local writers. So, so grateful to have this haven within walking distance....but honestly, even if I lived miles away, I'd still visit. Highly recommend :)

I don't leave a lot of reviews on places, but I have to here. This is such a lovely bookshop with an immaculate vibe and superb selection. If you have a niche interest in history, cooking, linguistics, manga or anything they will have something that'll tickle your fancy. I can't ever stop myself from popping in when walking past and having a look. Support this shop!!!

This is the best little independent bookstore. The variety of books, topics & authors both kiwi & international is brilliant. Stepping into the store is an experience in itself the background tunes set the tone perfectly for this store and the staff are top notch to boot. If you read you need to check this place out.

Nothing better than browsing a good, independent bookshop, in my opinion and this is definitely a fave! Books of every genre and for all ages! Utter bliss browsing the shelves! We can easily 'waste' 30 minutes here! So many fantastic books on offer at affordable prices too! Parents: great selection of kids books too!
