It was easy to get the tickets from the self ticketing machine. We could order the snacks and drinks together in purchasing the ticket. The extreme theatre was big enough to enjoy the movie, but the seats were dirty with the stains...

Overall good experience at LUX. The self check kiosk did not appear to work for LUX tickets but the staff at the counter were good and sorted our tickets out. The seats are great, comfortable and they recline a decent amount. The food experience was good. Friendly staff and decent portions. With a LUX ticjet you get 1 free drink and a small popcorn box, good value. Would recommend arriving at least 20mins prior to your movie to place your dine in orders etc. See my photos

Neutral atmosphere- went to watch Avatar 2- went to deluxe area- decor and mood of the people is nice however the food is expensive- similar pricing to airport food, the lighting for the stairs is poor and is hazardous. The aircon wasn’t blasting on as the cinema was packed out, no pre warning about avatar collections being sold out and left dissatisfied. Lastly there is no clear signing for exiting, cinema numbers and process is confusing for newcomers.Don’t recommend for people that don’t enjoy getting lost.

Popcorn was way too salty. Cant host a good movie. No puck on the air hockey machine. 3 other games out of order. Then there is a sign its not Hoyts responsibility. Cant host a good gaming venue either. Staff was good. But waste of money. I would not recommend the Popcorn or the over priced ice cream the size of my thumb. Sneak your own food in.

Screens be large and the sound be big. Seats were spacious and comfortable. I find the large area the self-service snack food is spread over confusing but maybe it makes sense when it's busy. At quiet times it felt like a mission dragging a 5 year old so much distance to collect a drink, some Popcorn and some lollies.

Such a bad experience at this place. The cinema theatre that we went was stinky and there were stains everywhere on the chair. There were so many broken chairs including armrest and drinks holder. I have no idea if I went to enjoy a movie or actually suffer. This place shouldn’t be opened for customers.

Went at 8:30pm on 14/7/23, I usually do Lux at Botany, but decided to give Sylvia’s Lux a try. The young man with the black mask serving the Lux counter was extremely friendly and had outstanding customer service. The food and menu at Lux was was 10/10. Some things I’d recommend to management is to try have a better form of security in the Lux area, as when me and my friend got to our seat, there were already people sitting in our seats that didn’t even order Lux tickets. We then saw people walk up from the general seats to sit in the empty lux seats. I Don’t find this fair, as I paid almost double the price for Lux tickets and others are basically upgrading themselves for free. Then at the end of the movie when exiting Hoyts around 11:30pm, there was not one staff member around for security or to supervise. One customer dropped a whole blue glass drink inside by the food area that smashed, and he just walked away. I saw others playing around and just helping themselves to the drink station. You could’ve just easily stolen food and walked out with nobody to stop you. So I felt a bit unsafe and exiting late at night. Overall a great experience, but just needs better security and more staffing late at night.

Very spacious good style of venue. Good selection of food & drink to buy for or not for movies. Has a bar available. Check days and times.

Good theaterTERRIBLE FOODThe theater was good with a high quality sound and screen expensive. As a sound technician I was fully content with the audio experience and was happy with the picture quality. (much much better then event at St Luke's).However avoid any food or drinks at all costs. Everything is self surve with no price tags ANYWHERE it was only at the counter that I found out that 2 drinks and 2 medium boxes of popcorn was 40 DOLLARS (it also tasted incredibly cheap and bland despite the exorbitant price tag)

Fairly pricey however love the concept of grabbing your own drinks and popcorn before paying instead of lining up like most theatres makes it nice and quick to get into the movie esp during school holidays bathrooms were very clean kids enjoyed the movie today
