Sharing here in case it helps someone that is googling opening hours for Mecca Takapuna and getting incorrect information. Saturday hours are open from 9:30am not 9am. There are staff there from 9, and they could see customers waiting outside (there were a couple of us) quite frustrating. Normally have had really good customer service but not today.

This store is very professional. I admit you go into such stores hesitantly as a man in fear that you may be judged. However I went to smell the fragrances, and the woman who came to help was not only excellent in her knowledge but also made it a wonderful experience, with no pressure into buying on the spot. I would recommend for great products, and a welcoming yet professional environment.

Not a very welcoming and friendly environment. Walked in when there was only one other customer and about 4 staff members, was not greeted nor interacted with at all in the time I spent browsing looking for my item, as I had seen only the Takapuna branch had the perfume I wanted in stock. Staff were pretty snobby here, would recommend they get some tips on customer service from their Newmarket, Albany or Commercial Bay counterparts as I feel more comfortable as a customer there. :)

Mostly helpful and friendly staff, but the staff member today was arrogant and dismissive. As an older customer, I find shopping for cosmetics intimidating enough without this superior attitude as if they are on a fashion shoot and you don’t made the cut. I purchased an item today and wanted further products that were suitable for someone with allergies - I was told to visit the chemist. No further help was offered, even when I asked about the range of perfumes.
