Best VTNZ for speed of service in workshop. We'll organized and pleasant mechanics.Office reception process needs to separate those wanting to merely pay an account (Express lane) from the driver license enquiries. Then 5 stars.

Great place. When i came in there was no queue. Fast, friendly service with a smile. The ladies at the counter are superb. Would come back again for my next run.

Have tried a few places in the mount over 5 years, this is the only place I wouldn’t go back to.Failed my WoF for “tinted windows”, which are standard windows that had never been an issue before then offered a place they knew I could get them replaced. They just want that WoF fee.

An extremely aggressive and rude staff at the counter.Unknowledgable. Unapologetic for their own mistakes, I had to go see them a few times for the same matter, just getting showed with hatred and disrespect. Had to go to a different place where everything I needed was done in a few minutes!Regret wasting my time and money on them VTNZ Mt Maunganui. One of the girls at the counter wasn't even talking to me initially, she was just rolling her eye balls at me and pointing at NZTA ph number. While it was all explained and also clearly stated the reference # from NZTA on the very same piece of paper. Took her time to figure it out.Unbelievable. It seems, they just don't want to do their job, each time saying different things. How they can be still employed? What for?Zero stars for service like that.

Absolutely appalling, my partner has tried 3 times to get his license replaced each and every time they tell him something different, last time he had everything and was good to go but they wouldn’t accept his original birth certificate because of it being dated 1996 , after ordering a new birth certificate and waiting to go and try again with everything else he had originally taken in they’ve now said that what he brought in last time is not good enough this time.To make matters worse each time he’s spoken to someone they have been extremely rude.

Had my drivers test cancelled the day of the test. When I called to re-book the test (It was automatically re-booked for several weeks away, and I wanted to get it done sooner) I waited over an hour to speak to someone just to be told I would have to go back into a different queue to speak to someone who could do the booking, and that I would be charged an administration fee.Absolutely ridiculous to charge someone a fee to rebook a test that VTNZ cancelled! When I finally did get to sit the test, I passed, but apparently didn't do very well at explaining what I was doing about hazards I had identified. When I mentioned I found that part difficult, the instructor, Gregory C, accused me of Not having done my homework" and went on about "How frustrating it was" when people sit their test without having done a defensive driving course (I mentioned I hadn't done one in the beginning). No "Congratulations" on passing

I would like to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received during my first visit to VTNZ. The issue revolves around the rear window tint of my car. When I inquired about it, I was informed that the tint exceeded the 36% limit for rear window tinting compliance in NZ, causing the vehicle to fail the Warrant of Fitness (WOF) examination. This was surprising to me, as I have had the car for five years since importing it from Japan and have consistently followed WOF checks, renewals, and regular servicing without any previous problems. In response, I promptly removed the rear window tint on the following day. I then returned to VTNZ and endured a significant hour wait under the scorching sun. Finally, when it was my turn, I was told that the rear side window tints also needed to be removed. I pointed out to the staff member that the failure notice specifically referred to Rear Window Tinting Limits to Comply

The regulations around window tinting need to be reviewed and changed. My Mazda CX5 SUV failed its WOF for tinting exceeding max limit on all rear windows. Drove to Mazda to ask them if they were factory standard - they were. Compared to other new cars in the sale yard and they were all the same. How can you be failed on something that is factory standard? A new car comes with a 3 year warranty so this isn’t picked up until the car is taken for it’s first warrant since new….spoke to a window tinting business and was told this is a really common issue….What also doesn’t make sense is if my vehicle was classed as a Ute or 4x4 it doesn’t matter how dark the tints are…why does that make a difference? How is it a safely issue on my SUV but not a Ute or 4x4? On top of this, I passed my previous WOF the year before through the same VTNZ having no issues with the window tinting - where is the consistently??Rang VTNZ head office, was put onto the Mt Maunganui manager who told me to come in the next day and he gave me the WOF.This is a ridiculous regulation that is causing many people unnecessary stress and money to have their tints changed/removed.

They were SO busy at the front counter. The queue was very long but the 3 lady's running the show were absolutely awesome. They were literally run off their feet but nothing at all was a problem. I was really impressed with them.Rightfully VTNZ can be very proud to have these 3 as the front of their business on Hewletts Rd Mt Maunganui.Well done lady's - you're each a real credit to VTNZ.
