Stu is an amazing teacher and musician. I highly recommend him for students of any age and all styles of music . My primary school aged daughter studied with Stu for two years and I can’t speak highly enough of way Stu teaches and inspires .

My Son thoroughly enjoyed his tuition for the year, Stu is a great guitar tutor I would definitely recommend him to anyone starting out. My son has gained new skills and confidence in his guitar playing and has managed to fine tune some areas he was unsure of this was down to Stu and his work with him. Allmusic Guitar Tuition
Stu is a fantastic music teacher, an awesome guitarist, and possibly the most patient person on the planet. His knowledge of music/guitar theory is amazing and he is able to explain it in a way that is easy to understand by anyone at any level. I enjoyed every lesson I had over 18 months or so, and totally recommend him to anyone no matter where you are on your guitar playing journey.

I was a complete beginner when I started guitar lessons - and not exactly a natural talent! But I've loved having lessons with Stu and have learnt so much in a short space of time. Stu was always patient and encouraging - while continually pushing me forward with new chords, strumming patterns, songs, and musical theory. I'd highly recommend him for beginners of any age.

I started with Stu back in 2007 learning the classical guitar. Despite my distinct lack of innate talent he got me through my grade 1 with the highest pass in NZ!Life then got in the way and I did not have time to pursue music until many years later I approached Stu with a view to resuming lessons. As in 2007 I have found him to be a great teacher and a compassionate and genuine human being. I could not recommend him highly enough!

My son, now aged 14, has been having guitar lessons with Stu for just under 2 years. He loves his lessons, and has learnt such a lot already and is continuing to learn and improve. Stu’s style of teaching is relaxed and he gets the best from his students. He is very patient, and always looks for ways to make playing easy and enjoyable.I can't recommend him highly enough. His knowledge and understanding of the guitar and music is second to none. Whatever your ability as a player I'm sure you would benefit from his teaching. I know my son looks forward to his lessons. Stu has taken me through the process from beginner player to good intermediate level - by which I now confidently play rhythm guitar in a local band. He is an excellent adult educator and articulates the complexities of guitar theory in a manner which is non-intimidatory, comprehensible and is genuinely patient.
