Be aware, if you have worn brake pads, these guys will ask, and will only change brake pads and rotors together, regardless the condition of your rotors. If you choose to do it here, it will cost you double. They will not tell you whether your rotors needing replacement, it is simply “the way they do things here”. Whereas other mechanics will clearly tell you if your rotors need replacement. Also be aware of their “engine flush” addon. They will sometimes do it without asking.

Best auto center in Auckland! Always happy with their services.I was not usually visit continuously to go to same auto center but I have been to AA on Hobson street about 3 years.They always give us clear information even I visited them today under level 3.All of them are very reliable and professional, including receptionist lady:)

I cannot recommend this service centre enough. I booked in for a WOF and needed some repairs before I passed. One of the repairs was a new tyre. When I returned for a recheck it was discovered the tyre service had replace the wrong tyre. I was feeling unwell and they happily kept my car. They then drove to the tyre service place to pick up the correct tyre and sorted the entire issue out for me free of charge. Unfortunately then I came down with covid and they kindly kept my car for the entire period of my isolation. Absolutely the kindest, most caring service I have ever encountered. I would highly recommend AA Hobson Street. They are one of a kind!

Decided to use this branch for my cars WOF as it was close to home. I was able to book online and get a time convenient to me.Staff at reception were friendly and advised me of how long it would take. Price was competitive after ringing other companies for the same work.I will be using them in the future for any future services.

Mike and Chen have been great to deal with over the last year with servicing and installing parts on my Jeep, very good communication, very very fast to complete work no matter what it is and at a fair price. A very good friendly team.The place is very clean. Despite my car had few additional repairs (not accounted at the time I dropped the car off), I got the car back the time they said they would. Clear communications so no surprises at the end.I highly recommended.

Amazing service here yesterday. I called up the day before prepared to book for the following week as all other mechanics in the area were busy, but AA Hobson St were able to slot me in next day for my WOF and service. I dropped off my car early at 8:30am (scheduled for 11am) and they got my car done quickly at around 10am and even gave me an update on the phone promptly after completion. This made the whole process stress free as I was able to fit my WOF around my work schedule.Now, here's where they really went above and beyond. I have a noise in the front of my car when I go above 90km p/h. I brought this up with the receptionist, and she said they'd look into it. I was 100% expecting to pay extra, as such as request is not included in the bronze service, and I'd be using up their valuable labour time. To my surprise, they found time to bring my car onto the motorway up to 90km p/h, check the mechanics and give me a report, all for free. The mechanic was knowledgeable and honest when I asked any questions.They weren't able to fix my mechanical issue, but they happily referred me to another mechanic who probably would be able to fix it. They could've easily used my situation for a cash grab, but they didn't. I appreciate the referral. It's good sport on their behalf.The WOF and servicing isn't as cheap compared to other mechanics, but the service makes up for it.One thing I'd appreciate is if the reception stayed open till 5:30pm. As most people tend to finish work at 5:00pm, it just makes it easier to find time to pick up the keys. Though totally understandable if this can't be done, as the staff probably want to get home as well!Keep up the great work team!

Excellent Service-above and beyond my expectations. Was there awhile ago with loads of concern about my car.Chen-the mechanic who is very knowledgeable and honest has explained everything I needed to know and much more. He gave me tips on how to look after car battery /engine, brake fluids, coolants, etc.And the boss, even vacuum my car for free:) what a man!I was so delighted on how these personnel looked after my car and gave me peace of mind.Definitely the service center you can depend on, very affordable and you are in good hands.All the very best and many thanks for your great work!!!

Had an issue that thought needed to be taken care of on very short notice. I took my car in and was looked after by Mark. He told me they were very busy at the time and he could only get to looking over the car when he had a minute. Fortunately for me, Mark managed to squeeze it in and looked over everything to find no big issues. Keys back in my hands half an hour later. Thanks so much!

Really appreciate the services of the AA on Hobson Street. The gentleman who assisted was very patient, thorough, efficient and professional while also very practical. It was particularly helpful having someone able to converse in my native language, Mandarin.
