Nice facility and really great staff, can't fault the organisational side of it at all. The accom they organised was all great. However the bikes are exceptionally uncomfortable. I did it with my wife, i cycle thousand of km per year and shes does barely 100km and we both found them terrible. Upright Dutch style bike with swept back bars totally unsuitable for trail riding and the least comfortable saddle I've ever come across. I really wish I'd brought my own bike.

This would have to be the most professional tour operator available on the Otago Rail Trail. They offer a various range of packages and from the moment we enquired, Trail Journeys did a wonderful job of putting our itinerary together. Highly recommended!

Highly recommend to all. Friendly staff, bikes in excellent condition. Service extraordinary - staff went out of their way to pick us up when we had an accident and couldn’t continue, then called to check up on us the next day.

We have just completed the Roxburgh Gorge and the Clutha Gold ride over 2 days. We used Trail Journeys to book shuttles, jet boat, and accommodation. The trip has been fantastic, even perfect weather was provided!! Can recommend Trail Journeys as an efficient and reliable tour organiser.

We (x2 adults) experienced the Otago Rail Trail through Trail Journeys on E-bikes for the 4 day option. From arranging online, getting there and receiving the run down on the trip and bikes, moving our bags, and arranging extra activities were all attended to with no dramas. Bikes were great and reliable. Will recommend and use to do further rides in the future down there.

We had a great day cycling part of the Otago Rail Trail. The company had everything sorted for us - bikes, transport to the start of the ride - so that all was hassle-free.The section of the trail (Waipiatu to Middlemarch, 52.5km) was a good path with a slight down incline almost the whole time. There was quite a strong headwind for the first part of the ride but not arduous. The rain came for about an hour or so but we had come prepared.We definitely want to come back to do the whole trail.
