I love a good outdoor market. The Whanganui River Traders Market is right on the riverbank and close to the arts district each Saturday morning. A huge range of products made by local traders including coffee, baked goods, wood turning, clothing, deli food, fresh bread and more. Good atmosphere and great to support local.

Not sure where to make a complaint as there's a new website in progress. Was absolutely disgusted with the artist stall. He drew pencil portraits of people. He asked my partner if he could draw a portrait of her, she kindly declined but complemented his artwork as beautiful. He then looked at her up and down more than once with a creepy seductive smile and said it could be her on there. She felt embarrassed and asked if we could leave.

Great variety of stalls. Plenty to please everyone. Nice food stands , diverse range to choose from . Well laid out.

Great friendly atmosphere, I love seeing all the locals and their goods. I'd strongly advise bringing cash as not all stalls take card payments. A nice way to start the weekend, get some exercise and socialize.

New Zealand Glassworks has a wonderful array of art glass from a variety of artists. There is absolutely something for everyone.

Crafts, food and coffee carts, plants, fresh bread, and home wares are just some of the offerings available every Saturday down on the river front. We love to frequent the markets. The only downside is much in the way of vegetables and fruit. If there was a farmers market, I know I'd buy there weekly.

Excellent market. Lots of food options and fresh produce to buy. Great selection of other goods to buy. Take cash though!
