Wellington District Court

I wish 0 star is allowed. Their services are not free and not cheap. Even then what you get in return is a serious lack of accountability. Our hearing got delay multiple times and when I asked for reason, the answer was either I don't know" or "let me redirect you to person A" but person A never replied to us with clear answer. We finally had our hearing 2 weeks ago but now it's decided that there's another hearing in god know when. Don't have high hope that justice will be served here

Tenancy judge is excellent. Tough but fair. Letter of the law was applied in a just manner.

Great public building, safe and clean. Went there to see some public hearing. Friendly staff.

Horrible experience, one of Justice denied. No sign of justice to be found at the District Court.

The person on the public service desk was completely unhelpful in finding a document that was specifically emailed to the Wellington court from the North Shore court for me to pickup. Demanding specific information on exactly where it was sent, they were told it was sent from the north shore to here. I was told thats not good enough. After multiple calls to the ministry of justice 0800 number it was said to be in the generic Wellington court email inbox. Lazy people on your front desk do not foster any sense of public trust. One star given back as the Man who finally helped came outside to give me my license that had been left behind. Otherwise a very strained experience with incompetent staff.

The people at this Court and I mean all of them, especially the referees, are an absolute disgrace. Sadly, and as at least one person has already stated, if no stars was a choice, its that which would have been selected.

Hate court

Called up for Jury service this morning. Process was a shambles. Court employees couldn't find a remote to play a DVD and it completely threw them. Did not introduce themselves or thank everyone for coming. Balloting process was poorly explained. Disorganised and unprofessional behaviour. As the public face it does not give me much faith in our justice system.
