Honestly Sal's has the best pizza in NZ. If we're ever in Hamilton it's almost a given we'll stop to get some pizza. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.The pizzas are large, cooked perfectly, with good quality ingredients. The garlic knots and pepperoni wheels are also great little snacks.Service is only 3 stars as they forgot our buffalo wings on our last visit, and all our interactions with the staff were just a little off" (the impression was they were busy but also didn't really care about providing great hospo service). It was good Friday

$35 for a greasy not really that nice New York pepperoni pizza, was told it would take 15mins and they were bang on. Had takeaway, offered no napkins, had to take off the tables instead, more tomato sauce than cheese and there was a strange taste to it, may the pepperoni they used

Hello team, I asked for a half pepperoni with extra sauce and basil, because why not? I didn't get the sauce or basil. Insert sadness here. Good customer service. Overcooked garlic knots and undercooked mozzarella sticks.

Delicious Pizza. Quality is one of the best I've had in NZ. I had a bit of a misadventure on a busy day when I tried to order online. I ordered online and the payment was processing and I get a pop up that says they closed the store due to running out of cheese. Payment went through but I couldn't tell if they received my order. I called 5-6 times and never got an answer. I also tried emailing. I had no choice but to drive up there. I had to park two blocks away and after waiting in line for a bit I told the guy at the counter the situation. They did not receive the order and was told the payment should bounce back and if it doesn't to get in touch. All staff was super nice about it. The only thing I didn't like is I had to order again and then wait a bit longer. It was a 2 hour ordeal trying to get dinner. I was hangry near the end. A coupon or discount would have been nice. Something to remedy no one answering the phone so I didn't have to go up there or carry 2 huge pizzas two blocks. I would've opted for McDonald's but I was there and waited so long anyhow.**Update, received communication from management and they were eager to check in on the issue and I received a refund for the double charge. No free pizza lol but the prompt communication and customer service was much appreciated!!

Sal's Authentic NY Pizza Hamilton
I liked the atmosphere and the smell of the pizzas getting out of the ovens. We ordered half chicken and half cheese and it was a great combination. It is really large and fed our family of 5. I think it is a great value for the quality and service. It took only 15 min to be ready, which passed really fast while we watched some basketball. Staff was kind and efficient. Will come back soon.

The crust is amazing but, if you've had real New York pizza (or even look at a picture in Instagram) you'll see that Sal's has 1/5 the toppings for double the price. New York is one of the most expensive cities in the world. If you eat at sals once a week you could save that money, fly to New York for a week once a year and eat real pizza until your gut busts open. Cannot recommend at the price.

The food is great! But I have tried calling them multiple times on different occasions have always gone through to voicemail. I’ve left voice messages and everything and they never get back to me. Why offer a number but then not answer. Fix this issue.

Ordered pizza for 1:20pm because I had a schedule with other people. Got to Sal's to be told they had forgotten the order so I would have to wait. They were rude and apathetic. When I explained I couldn't wait that is why I had ordered for that time the customer service person shrugged and said I didn't have a choice, they had forgotten. Left me feeling really upset. Asked for a refund and they just shrugged, said whatever. Really horrible experience for Mother's day!
