大三元马来餐Taisumyun Malaysian Cuisine

First time to experience Sarawak style laksa... it was very interesting! Plus the other dishes comforted our bellys and tastebuds during the winter cold. Very small restaurant but friendly owners. Ample parking, surrounded by many other small businesses. Will go back again and try their other Sarawak flavours. Thank you again

Authentic food from Sarawak! We order Sarawak fried noodle soup (Foo Chow), fish noodle soup and Sarawak laksa. Sorry, usually I take photos but because it is so tempting, I forgot to take other photos. Definitely recommending to everyone!

Food tastes so good man. Friend comes from Sarawak and he said it's very authentic.

Tried both the Char Koay Teow and Hainanese Chicken Rice, it was really good and authentic flavour. The 'Pulut Panggang' tasted great too!. Will definitely go back again and to try the other local malaysian dishes.

It took some time to get out food but it was worth the wait

Waited 40+ min for the food, not a lot of seats so would recommend going early or ordering takeaway, free chicken soup if you dine in though!The Sarawak dishes smell a little bit Chinese medicine so you probably won't like them if you like the conventional or westernised versions

Came back to NZ from London in search of good Malaysian food and this place was fantastic. Can’t recommend enough - it’s a small space but the staff provided great service and we loved the sawarak cuisine. Defo finish off with the milk buns!

This quaint little restaurant was delicious! Excellent taste and massive portion sizes. We ordered 3 mains for the 3 of us, but 2 would have been enough. Also you can grab free soup while you wait, which was also delicious.It's small (only 4 tables), so you might have to come off peak to get a spot. It's a husband and wife restaurant, so you might have to ring the bell on the counter if they're both in the kitchen. They should get a bell for the door.Highly recommended!

Taisumyun is located in Northcote Central, in the grassy area between the carpark and the library.The menu isn't very big but they have some very interesting items not seen in other Malaysian places. You can serve yourself some water and soup at the back counter. There were some kueh there as well for dessert.I tried their Taisumyun fried noodles and took away a kolo mee and tomato noodles. The fried noodles were nice. It came with a nice chilli sauce. The tomato noodles had a very nice tomato aroma and an interesting flavour. There was an option of noodles or rice noodles and i picked the latter. The rice noodles were fried so it had a nice smokey flavour. The kolo mee was nice and it wasn't very dry or sticky considering it was sitting in the container for a while.It was a really nice place for something different. The place is quite small so it was full most of the time I was there. There were also other interesting items like fried noodle soup. It was worth a visit.
