Awesome motor bike experience, loved the speed and awesome driver. Visited a waterfall and stopped for photos. Highly recommend this unique experience.

A wonderful and exciting experience on the trikes at Paihia with tour hosts Mark & Debbie being extremely accommodating in every way. The Trike Bike ride itself was excellent and very reasonable in cost. Highly recommend this adventure and the hosts of the Thunder Trike Tours - Loved every minute of the hair-raising ride around the beautiful & scenic Bay of Islands!

Awesome tour guide who was very knowledgeable about the area also very competent trike rider.This was absolutely amazing and would highly recommend doing if you are ever in Paihia.

My wife Cathy and I had the absolute pleasure of taking the ultimate tour lasting 2 hours. Andy was our driver and it was the highlight of our 14 day cruise. Given we had the 2 hours ,we got to go over to Russell Island which was just fantastic and being able to tour around and have Andy tell us about the history as well as get a bit of an adrenalin rush , was amazing. I know lots of people did shorter rides but the extra is well worth it.

We arrived in Paihia when our cruise ship docked, and Thunder Trikes was easily found at the main tours hub in the centre of town. I had my eye on Thunder Trikes for some time as my Husband is a bit of thrill seeker and loves his bikes, but when it came time to book I had missed my window and all tour slots were taken :(We had no other locked in plans for Paihia, and were just going to meander our way around or book in on something that looked interesting. I decided to take a gamble and just go and ask them if there had been any cancellations or anything that day that we might have been able to book into - talk about luck, as there had been some other travellers on the cruise who were having issues getting off the ship and they had to shuffle some tours around so there was 1 free in an hour. Hubby was over the moon! Both Denise and Mark were pleasant and provided lovely customer service.We went on the 1 hour combined tour, and it was the best hour ever. Des/Dez was super informative as he drove us around, and always offered us the 'safety' option of tapping him on the shoulder if we ever felt we needed him to slow down (he was always below the speed limit but some people don't feel safe in open vehicle at the posted speed limit) - we told him at the beginning that it was ok, he wouldn't be getting the tap from either of us at any point.We got to see some amazingly beautiful sights around the island, with plenty of little slow down and stop points to take photos of the scenery.Best to take a warm jumper as it is quite fresh and no wind protection in the open vehicle.

What an awesome experience! Mark is a bloody legend and gives you a very informative ride. Gave it a bit of stick too. We loved it!!

SUPERB experience. Mark and Denise were so accomodating & nice. The tour is also educational and helpful in learning the history of NZ. Will definitely book again once my family arrives in NZ!

Mark was awesome and very safety conscious with my six year old on board. We did the Opua Thriller option because I love speed, and Mark catered perfectly for my requirements as well as my little one. Mark shared lots of local knowledge, even though I'm from the Far North I learnt lots of new things. Highly recommend, and it's great value for money. Would definitely do it again :) Thanks Mark
