When The Cat's Away Cattery

Just got our fur baby River back after a 4 day stay. It was her first time. She was very well looked after and we just love the attention that Gareth and Jo give to the cats. I would thoroughly recommend this cattery to anyone needing to board their cat. The weekly video is a nice touch also. Thanks Gareth & Jo for making River’s first time experience a happy one.

I homed my Grandmothers cat with WTCA while we worked out a home for him. Gareth and Jo are absolutely fantastic, dedicated, caring and wonderful with the kids. I saw ongoing improvements to the cattery every time I visited. They are dedicated to CARING for your feline friend. Highly recommend.

We have boarded our cat with Cats away cattery on numerous occasions and have always been very pleased with their professional care , recently we moved to the South Island and they very happily had her transported for us . They went well out of their way to make her transport as stress free for her and us as possible . We appreciate their loving caring attentive efforts they showed our cat and us . Such a pleasure to deal with this cattery. Thank you .

We were blown away when we went to pick our boy up. He was happy , relaxed and interacting with the other cats. Communal areas where amazing. Mikey will definitely be happy going there again.

Such a trustworthy place to leave your little furbaby. The owners are lovely and care about looking after your cat as much as you do. The wide open spaces give the cats plenty of room to play and have fun. The Facebook page shows lives and photos of your cat while you are away. Couldn’t recommend more!

Loved this cattery. Nice location, clean facility. The staff are friendly and it is priced very well. A shame my cat didn't like it.

Great cattery- lovely set up in the trees, Our kitten was there with the previous owners & loved it, & new owners are really fantastic too.They made our holiday so easy by coming to collect her from our house & dropping her off again afterwards- this made organising everything before flights etc. so much easier.There were many cool places for her to play & our girls loved looking at photos and videos online while we were away.She's settled back in beautifully- our girls were very happy to enjoy lots of cuddles with her once they woke up after an overnight flight!Thank you Gareth & Jo for looking after her & for making it so much easier with the pick up & drop off too xx
