Great operator for any transport needs in the Tongariro area! I made things difficult for Colin by changing our itinerary twice, including the day before, but he was super flexible and professional. Many thanks. Highly recommended for tongario alpine circuit, northern crossing or any other hikes.

Hi EnzoI am writing to you in regards to the booking you made this morning with two solutions.We can either transfer the booking to another date during the winter season or credit it to another product in the next 6 months e.g. Mountain Biking or Tongariro Alpine Crossing.or process it through as a refund which will probably attract cancellation fees from the merchant.These situations are rare however the difficulty we have is with late bookings solo bookings the viability of the shuttle.Please note these bookings are also fully transferable to another person.Please let us know which path to follow as we endeavour to find solutions.Kind regardsRuapehu Scenic Info-------------------------------------This company have not refunded from 2021

I booked something in last minute (9pm) on line because there was a place normally. What a surprise when I discover that they have to confirm the reservation. I tried to reach them but it was too late. I tried another time in the morning 7am because that was the first hour for the shuttle and he said to me « I can’t pick you because you are alone I will reschedule ». Anyway it was prepaid so i just asked if he can’t confirm and have my money back. But they just confirmed it so I lost money for nothing. Don’t go with them there are plenty of others really better :)I respond because you/or one of your friend tried to intimidate me on Facebook? First you wrote that a scam campaign was going on and refute nothing and now you say i’m a liar ? You didn’t offer me an option, you just took My money. I could understand if you can’t pick me so late.

So helpful! We were stuck up Mt Tongariro when Cyclone Gabrielle came through. We desperately needed to get off the mountain because our accommodation had run put. They phoned around and found someone for us.

Online last minute booking was easy, the following morning I was worried about the old van rocking up looked alot more unsafe than my brand new car to drive up the hill in. However it made it up, upon returning we was looking around for the old van but luckily seen a light bus instead to return back down the hill. The driver was friendly enough. All vehicles get checked to ensure road-worthyness so do not be worried all vehicles are 100% safe and the operator has been up and down the mountain for many many years

Hi there ,I booked the shuttle service for a 9:30am pick up & 4pm drop off.Later I requested a re schedule of the pick up from 9:30am to a 10:30am, I got an email a day before my pick up at around 12:30pm & I replied at 2:30pm saying yes please re schedule, 2:30pm was well within in working hours, no reply from the team.We had a late night and we hurried my little boys in the morning & we drove from Taupo and reached at 9:30am only to be told we have been moved to 10:30am, atleast you guys need to reply.And while return our pick up was 4pm and we reached at the point at 3:56pm and the shuttle was all locked and about to leave with four seats empty , will the driver not have a list of the passengers , it’s just a 10 seater shuttleOur both phones were flat and that was the last pick up for the evening , imagine if we came at 4pm and missed the shuttle with two boys in that cold weather - I guess the driver wanted to reach home in a hurry - very very disappointed

Colin was incredibly helpful during our trip to Ruapehu. There was a little hiccup in the beginning where we had to postpone our trip an hour later due to low number of bookings but that’s fine and understandable. We told Colin we were planning to do the walks on the mount then he told us the accesses to the walks were closed for winter (bummer!). The next day, he gave us some suggestions on what else we could do in the area. He was very humble, patient and flexible in time-wise. He even offered an extra ride which we were really thankful for. Thank you Colin for all your help and everything. Without it, our day and trip would’ve been ruined… so THANK YOU!! xx ❤️

Very fine services. I had booked the night before with scenic shuttles at 11pm not expecting it to be processed and confirmed the same night. Our driver was a great sport who kept in contact incase we wanted to either leave the mountain early or stay on abit later and was all round a hood experience and will use them in the future.

We decided to take a short notice ride on Fisher's Track, and messaged Ruapehu Scenic Shuttles very late on a Friday night to see if they could accommodate us the next day. We got a reply first thing on Saturday, with advice on the best way to tee up the shuttle, and were able to be shuttled from the finish of the track to the start at 10am that morning. Prompt, helpful assistance. Good local knowledge on how to tackle various tracks, and on where a Vodafone signal could be found (not in many places here, unfortunately :-)). We would happily recommend the team at Ruapehu Shuttles. Enabled us to have a great day out at very short notice...
