Historic Lime Kiln
Stumbled across this kiln while driving around, who would have guessed that opposite the one on the road side, there is a fully preserved one on public trust land a few hundred metres from the road! Very nice to visit.

Looks interesting, but access closed because of lamb season. Make sure you see the restored kiln down the hill, not just the half kiln on the roadside

Tis closed otherwise than just looking from the road. But for a very good reason. Safety.Understandable that.Unless you have a journey that way I would not think it worth a trip. But as there are other fun places in the area might as well peek from the cars window,right?

Historic Kiln is located not next to the road, but further in the down. Look where the Sign for Historic Kiln pointing to.
