The Filter Room Ale & Cider House
Wish we lived closer to come here more. This is a perfect place for friends to get together or couples to go out. It’s perfect because they have something for everyone. I loved getting to try beer and cider at the same time. They even had alcohol free and low alcohol ciders for my mother in law. It was perfect! A little pricey for a tasting tray but really cool concept and generous sizes!! We had a blast and would totally recommend.

Went for a family function. Swings out back, that's all. Large square tables; not easy to chat to people. Music was fabulous, but unfortunately we were far too close to have conversations with our friends. Food took ages to arrive, 10 in our party. Average tasting food.

It was our first time at Filter room and it was amazing. Loved the different cider tastings and delicious food. And friendly staff. Will definitely be back.

Great place to spend a Saturday afternoon. Live entertainment, great selection of tables and games, tons of space depending on what you’re feeling! Burgers were good but the wait was 70 minutes - far too long considering the venue was only 40% full. Hence the three stars.Disappointingly, the entire outdoor area is a designated smoking area. There were no smokers when we were there, but this would have spoiled our lunch. Would be good if it was a smoke-free venue…Your live musician is awesome! Very talented

Fantastic range of cider & beer on tap. Food was yum! Reasonably priced lunch out. It was nice and warm inside even though it was cold & wet outside!

So glad we finally got to visit. We have been big fans of Hawke’s Bay brewery beverages for a long time. The live music was a great bonus. The Quake Lemon tastes just like a lemonade ice block, it was so good we got a growler bottle to take away. Wish it was available to buy in liquor stores around the country, I’m sure it would sell like hotcakes!

Good place to spend a nice family dinner.Reservations are normally required, but shout out to the team for allowing us to dine without one.Food serving is great, taste is alright, nothing fancy, but good food.Not bad for the price.Good selection of alcoholsThey have pool tables, low trees (which my kids climbed), and playground for the kids.Overall, great ambience and a place that you would mind being a regular.
