Golly! I was imagining a drawn-out and expensive appointment but my Saturday morning visit really set a great tone for the whole weekend. I needed a driving certificate, I was a couple of minutes late but was seen within 2 minutes. The technician was VERY professional but personable, as was the Receptionist. And all for $15. Highly recommend Barrington Eye Care, these are real Kiwis givng really good service (I made an appointment and got both text and email reminders).

I have used Rochelle for the past 16 years and will not go anywhere else. Her team are always kind accommodating and Rochelle is very knowledgeable and experienced. My daughter's sight was declining too quickly and on Rochelle's advice we put in a special lens which has resulted in a vast improvement to her sight.

Barrington eye clinic was a pleasure to vist Receptionist was friendly and polite very helpful. Rochelle was thourgh in her excemanation, easy to talk to ,explained and answered all my many questions.No need for glasses to be replaced so all in all very happy will be back .Carl

I thought this unfair review from Ceinwen Davies may make it here. I was actually in the waiting room of this establishment when this phone call took place. The both the receptionist and the owner from my point of view were completely professional in handling what seemed to be a very angry customer. I don’t think it’s fair that staff should be put under pressure especially this time of the year! I personally found Barrington eye care to be very good and actually cared about my eye health and not just their bank account! Review certainly uncalled for.

Unbelievably rude staff and owner. I asked them nicely during a busy day to please send me a text reminder, a common practice with many businesses and Kelly said she would. This never occurred and unfortunately I missed my appointment. When I rang I was met with extreme rudeness, told it's not their job to babysit me and that I should've thought of my child's needs, who the appointment was for, and managed to remember my appointment. Ungracious, rude and quite frankly, extremely unprofessional behavior by both Kelly and Rochelle the owner. I'm amazed they're still in business with behavior like that.

Interestingly rude staff seems to be a common thread in reviews, it wasn't my purpose for leaving a review, but i have to agree that the reception staff are always gruff. The owner presents as professional, but my consult for fitting contacts was wham bam, rushed and lacked choice and information. I left having to rely on google and friends advice for the most basic things re contacts like eye drops. They are probably good at checking eyes, but i have to say, avoid them for contact lenses.
