I wish we could warn people about the offender's who make sub par burgers and charge a lot of money for it. The festival used to be better and have more exotic options...the best joints in town weren't on the 2022 roster. not sure why? I like the concept, it's very cool but hasn't recovered since COVID.

Wellington is so lucky to have this special event once a year. I hope this can grow and be celebrated throughout NZ.The burgers are creative and delicious, the restaurants work really hard and are thoughtful with their woap meals, and these are paired with cool beers.Keep up the great work everyone. We appreciate it.

Been to Shepherd Restaurant for the Wellington on a plate Hot chicken. While the chicken wings tasted really niceand was crispy, the compulsory sides that included pickles, slaw and Mac&cheese was served in what I would call baking size cup measures if that, and just sour. The Mac&cheese was dry and lacked flavour. The chips enjoyable. The jumping juice sav was $16 and tasted really rank. So 8 chicken wings and 2 chips plus the tiny sides cost $75 and was supposed to serve 4 grown adults for lunch. Since driving from the Kapiti Coast this was a disappointment.
