I love visiting the Rose garden and the crematorium wall, my wife's ashes are in the rose garden, such a beautiful and tranquil place, my mother and grand mother are in the Crematorium wall, the cemetery is well maintain with easy access and staff are present to answer your enquiries, I have a plaque for my late wife on the granite book (main entrance) ❤️

Fascinating cemetery... a walk through Wellington’s history, complete with beautiful native bird visitors (tūī, kaka and kereru) and a visual insight into the amount of the community lost to war and the Spanish flu (relevant graves marked). Worth visiting - thousands come and never leave.

I've seen lots of cemeteries and this one has to be the most scenic one and very well maintained ( in the new parts )

In spite of the fact that I have never set foot here before I strongly recommend that you post your telephone number and your website so that the public at large can easily contact you whenever they need to use your services. Otherwise, they will simply go bury or cremate their loved ones somewhere else because lets face it. Nobody will want to visit this location just to ask you some questions about the prices of each and everyone of your services or the prices of the coffins or the urns that you generally utilize to put the ashes for instance. As I am pretty sure you already know, people will simply take the easy way out by going to other cemeteries where they do have all this important data posted on their maps for the general public to see and make use of it whenever necessary. As a result, you will end up losing quite alot of money and I am very certain that this is the last thing you would want your business to go through. So heed my recommendation as soon as possible for your own good.

Forget the creepy cemetery vibes, this place is wonderful to walk around in and is so big you will never run out of places to go inside it

This was the darkest crematorium I have ever been too. There was no open light for my son(a baby that passed). Our worlds were already dark without this added contribution-traumatic. The curtain between the oven and the church area is definitely not a beautiful place to be. I'd recommend whenua tapu over this space qnyday and it definitely is outdated and needs a major renovation. Natural lighting is needed, open windows. Brighter lights. Definitely go somewhere else

Passed through here on Halloween night. It was all grey, misty and spooky. Watch out for vampires, ghosts and ghouls

A lot of history, turning 130 years since the first intermittent, also the Small Chapel has a collection of stain glass windows that are unique to the Chapel, the Walls inside have a selection of Wellington founder's interned there, A totally amazing place to visit, for it's past, and the Chapel is a ongoing place for people to say goodbye and celebrate the passing of Loved ones, and there is 100 Acres to explore, with terrain that is hilly and the bird life and some Native fauna to see, that makes Karori Cemetery a place to Visit, and Reflect, Definitely a place with a Past, and a Working Cemetery for a limited amount of Intermenents.
