Easy ride both ways - Akl to Tauranga and return 3 days later. Comfortable, clean, and delightful company with Shiney - thanks to drivers, too for the safe journey, especially Bronwyn in the rain. Return to Akl ahead of schedule. Thanks to all concerned.

the trip was resonable enough, however, the driver was extremely rude which kinda ruined the service.

The Nakedbus Bus has very bad service. They reply their email only 3 times a week, it is not possible to book online for the south island. And if you call them it will cost you 1 dollar a minute. We had to rent a car because their service was not working. Not a good option for a Backpacker.

Not very enjoyable. Due to the bus departing late from Auckland there was no break for coffee. The driver refused to let me off for a snack and said that he will miss his break as well! This was to Tauranga and behind schedule so it was long and thirsty.....

Took the overnight Sleeper bus from Auckland to Wellington. The bus departed Quay St on time and arrived in Wellington half an hour earlier than scheduled. It isn’t a comfortable ride as you’ll really feel the shakes. The upper berth allows you to have your own personal space but is a hammock (you will be able to feel the people below if they turn around a lot), while the lower berth is a lie-flat bed but you will likely have to share with a stranger, unless you’re traveling with someone. It seems a bit claustrophobic on the lower berth if you’re against the wall (there are no windows down there) - if this is an issue, arrive at your stop extra early for the best chances of being allocated an upper berth.
