Scotties Rentals

We had an amazing experience with Scotties rentals. We had help from an employee named Amy who went above and BEYOND. We arrived to drop the car off at about 4:55p and hadn’t realized the last shuttle for the day to the airport left at 4:30p. We had surfboard bags would’ve been hard to fit in a taxi so Amy said drive us and drop us off. We were pretty sure she had clocked out for the day when she found us in the parking lot but wanted to help anyway. She was so kind and accommodating. We will 100% book with Scotties again especially if Amy is the one who helps us next time. Thanks Amy you’re the best!!

Efficient and friendly customer service. We were picked up and returned promptly to and from the airport. The young male worker (Uni Student)was polite and very good at his job. Because of this service we would definitely use Scotties again! The car was clean and comfortable and the cheapest deal in Auckland. We hired a Toyota Rav 4, it wasn't fuel efficient though.

Excellent experience from booking to pick up to drop off. All staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Much more personal service than other bigger companies. Camper was perfect and had everything needed for an amazing trip around the greatest country in the world. 10/10

Overall reasonable experience. We were able to rent the minivan we required for the number of travellers. For some reason when we arrived at Auckland airport the phone was engaged for 10 mins and we were unable to reach someone. We were beginning to think we needed to take a taxi there when it was pouring with rain. More pricey than expected after adding all the additional fee after initial booking. When we needed to be dropped off at airport the only staff there took around 20 mins with another customer when we have specified we needed to arrive at airport before a certain time, and we missed the time to be able to check in luggages as a result and nearly missed our flight altogether. It meant the staff was very patient, but I think he could have time managed better. For example, dropped us off at the airport first and asked the customer who already got his car but had numerous follow up questions to wait for 10 mins since that customer did not appear to be in a hurry.

Awesome van! Amazing price. The van was super great to drive. We moved things around inside to work for us and it was very comfortable.

I wasn't aware that I was booking through a 3rd party and we ended up paying more for insurance when we collected the vehicle (as it wasn't included but I thought it was when I booked - turns out it's a booking insurance or something equally ridiculous) however the guy at Scottie's in Christchurch was most helpful in explaining it all. The car was a little rough but matched the rate we were paying, ran well and was exactly what we needed. We would hire again but directly with Scotties next time.

Used Scotties twice this month. Excellent service. From hotel pick up to Airport drop off.The best available rate we could find. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Scotties to anyone.Jason at Christchurch depot was fantastic.

Everything with the rental went well. The check out and return were smooth and easy. The car was in good condition inside and out, and handled well over a 3 day / 500 km trip from Auckland to Whengarei and back. Great service and highly recommended!

Picked up was super easy in Queenstown, located in where all other rentals were near the airport.Initially booked the car for 11 days, return was in Auckland, due to COVID, I couldn’t enter Auckland in time, had the car for total of 22 days before returning in Eden Terrace, again very easy to find and friendly Keith was there waiting for me after I called in before hand, and only had to pay up @ original daily rate for the additional days so return was smooth too.During the time I couldn’t enter Auckland, called Amy in Scotties office a few times, because Scotties is a smaller local business, you can always get through to a person who you know by name and who understands you and tries to make arrangement to help you out, the kind of personal service a big corp probably hard to offer.Car was reliable, drove from Queenstown to Auckland, for about 2400kms.
