Swimming hole #2 is the best. Once getting into the water I totally recommend swimming around the corner to get to really good jumping spots - you will have to climb up, but it is worth it!

Best place ever. Swim holes are beautiful, sick rope swing at swim hole 1 and great places to jump / flip from at swim hole 2! Super cool rock formations.

We spent a few hours here, great walks & amazing cliffs. Our moko (granddaughter) loved the riverbank and playing with the rocks and stones.

A fantastic swimming hole in Takaka just off of the highway. Refreshing with jumping spots all around. Would definitely visit again!

Fantastic sport climbing with a wide variety of grades & styles. The rock is very stable too so is an absolute pleasure to climb. Such a picturesque location for climbing too & the nearby river provides much needed relief on warm days plus the option of doing some deep water soloing too.

Great swimming location! You have to wade across a rather fast flowing river (up to hips in depth) to get to the swimming hole - obviously this is ok if you want to swim but recommend leaving anything you want to keep dry in car!
