Rolleston Food Bar
The Rolleston Food Bar has made really nice fish & chips over the last couple of weeks.We had family visit from Australia recently & they really enjoyed the fish & chips from here.We used to go to Stonebrook Fish & Chips shop but we're now changing over to the Rolleston Food Bar because it's improved a lot & is much cheaper overall.

Just removed original review from 9 months ago. Bought fish n chips here roughly twice a month. Quality is inconsistent. Every meal has something missing which is annoying when you get home and someone misses out on their order.Really disappointed.

Got fish and chips nuggets and a burger for family lunch. Was delicious - the fish was nice and thick and moist - great batter and the chips were fabulous - really hot - crunchy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. The couple working there were so nice - friendly and helpful. Nice clean premises - plenty of parking 10/10!!

Wouldn't recommend a burger without meat from here. Same price as with meat in it, a pinch of lettuce with half a cup of onions with cheese and an egg $7.80 absolutely no extras such as a slice of tomato , beetroot or anything else. When I questioned price they said it wasn't their fault I don't eat meat although they did say that if I wanted extra meat I would have to pay extra. Very disappointed in their response and attitude to my question. Chips were very nice though but wouldn't go back.

What a disgrace. I ordered a bacon burger and when I got home (20mins away), all I had was a burger bun with a poxy meat pattie in it.

The food is excellent i have been a few times now try something new every time we go. These is nothing i wouldn't recommend. Burgers are delicious, fish is so fresh and nice, tosted sandwiches are great, love the Wong tongs the sauce is so delicious. The chips are cook so good. Staff are excellent but do ring your order through as they are always busy.

A standard fish and chips shop. Needs the building to have a bit of attention. Would be nice to entre a modern f&D shop.after all they take enough money.F& S no longer the cheap meal

Hm.... The cooking oil is maybe 6 months old and the actual fish is thinner than the bank card that I used to pay for it, being wrapped around a crumb that's thicker than my palm to make the overall thing looks decent sized.This shop is highly recommend if you enjoy thick crumbs with microscopic fish fried with thousand-year-old oil.
