Had a really poor experience with this company. I would not recommend, which is really a shame as the beginning of the process went super smoothly. As we are located in wellington, getting to Auckland for a viewing in between work was a bit difficult. After viewing the property pictures & seeing a video we were happy and confident we’d like to apply. The property manager Angela informed us we can submit our application & she will do all the checks on Monday but insisted that we view the property in person. My partner took the day off work (unpaid) and flew to Auckland to view the following day. At the viewing, everything went smoothly. Assuming the checks had been done as we were told they would be the day prior, Angela informed my partner we were the only ones who’d applied and my partner travelled home to wellington with the understanding we were going to get the house as Angela informed a tenancy agreement would be sent the following day (Wednesday). We do not hear from Angela all day Wednesday. We both text & call. No response. I call the office and am informed a message to Angela will be passed along. We call Thursday, I call the office again, nothing. Friday, I call the office where I am directly transferred to Angela. She lets us know we were declined but is unable to give us a reason why. $1000 was spent on this day trip to Auckland and my partner took unpaid time off work as Angela insisted we needed to see the property in person as for whatever reason she was unable to do a video face time viewing (like all of the other property managers have been able to do for us as we continue to look for rentals in Auckland). This was a complete waste of time, money, and the poor communication from Angela is unprofessional.

We have been dealing with Tina and her team at Gralin Property for two years now and cannot fault the fantastic service they provide, to both tenants and landlords alike. From the moment we viewed the property, they've not only been incredibly professional, but extremely approachable, friendly, attentive and always quick to respond whenever we communicate with them. As long-time renters, we've dealt with a number of property management companies over the years and our family would definitely rank the Gralin Property team as the very best we've encountered. We would not hesitate in giving them our highest recommendation.
