Viv is absolutely amazing. He asked me questions about my day-to-day life in order to determine the hairstyle that would be best suited to me. It truly was an experience I’ve never encountered with other Hair Stylists prior. His knowledge is endless and the tidbits of gold he shares is worth more than the service you’re paying for. I would 100% recommend Viv; before my first appointment with him ended, I’d already booked the next! Love, love, love Viv and the experience he creates while you’re sitting in his salon.

I recently had my first hair cut with Vivan at The Cut. I'm so pleased with the result! I was happy with the cut when I left the salon, but as the days have gone by I've been happier and happier with it. He really considered my hair texture (cowlicks), my face shape and my lifestyle (no blow drying / low effort please). I feel lighter and younger and cute! Thank you Vivan.

Loved my haircut from Vivan! He came highly recommended from family members in Otaki so I took the plunge and was very happy with the result. After lots of hair growth during pregnancy then hair loss post partum, I was in need of a funky but functional cut and colour. Vivan spent lots of time understanding what I wanted and advising on what would look good and he got it spot on. If you're looking for a new local hairdresser in Otaki, you've found It!
