Awesome awesome again Popsies!!! Especially with NZ going into lockdown yous did awesome food as always is hot and fresh!! Delivery service is on point too!! Second time using the service bloody amazing!

We come to Whakatane 3-4 times a year and this is our go to for Indian food. We would always take a few dishes in our chilli bin to take back home to Auckland too. It was very tasty. Last time we were here in May and the food was disappointing. We thought we would give it a go again as that was the only time we didn’t enjoy it. When we asked for a table for two, it seemed like an inconvenience for the lady behind the counter. She didn’t say anything. Took some menus took us to a table, plonked them down and just walked away to the kitchen. My husband and I didn’t sit down, we just walked out as obviously she didn’t want us there and we are not up for being treated rudely. They only had two other tables, she wasn’t rushed off her feet, which we might have understood. We won’t be going back again as obviously they don’t need customers, they just seem to be an inconvenience and not worth their time. Shame.

I’d have to say I am pretty disappointed with our takeaways tonight. $60 later we ordered 3 curries and there was enough food to feed barely 2 people. Small containers not full to the top with only a couple of pieces of chicken per container. The flavour of food was great just disappointed with the portion sizes. We won’t be back.

Second time eating the food here. Had chilli chicken twice & loved every bit about it. I love chilli and this definitely had all the right spices in this meal. Would definitely recommend if you love spicy food. Service was great, both friendly :)

Popsies Indian Restaurant Café & Bar
Had the $11 lunch meal great deal for any curry of your choice, plain naan, and rice and papadam. Meals are nice lovely spices garlic chicken although a little hot for my taste bubs (mild) was still delicious will definitely dine here again. Staff and nice and friendly.
