After many years and many visits to this store I feel I'm qualified to comment on my experience's.The staff stand about in their little clique by the counter and talk amongst themselves, and are less than engaging, when asked where a particular item is they will point in a general direction and will forget to ask for AA rewards when serving, one particular male staff member thinks he is funny with his comments, when in fact he comes out as being an idiot, is less than helpful and not at least a bit interested in what the customer has to say, as far as the stores presentation and stock items, its adequate, its the staff that let it down, now whether this is a management thing or not I don't know but one this is for sure the staff need re-training or replacing with more friendly and helpful engaging personal who know their products.

For a smallish hardware shop, it packs a good range. I've bought paint, nuts n bolts, power tools, kitchen n bathroom stuff, shelving, electrical, garden, everything except timber. If you need that go to the ITM on the other side of town, north. The assistants are friendly and helpful and know their stuff pretty well.

The staff are just great nothing is a trouble. Would recommend Hammer Hardware to everyone
