Four Square Mangawhai Heads

I was pleasantly surprised at the range of products they stored, and found the staff to be very friendly. They had things like some vegan chicken products, and a specific brand of oat milk I was looking for. Very friendly lady at the self checkout assisting.

Friendly staff, a well stocked shop, catering for all dietary requirements.Plus hot chickens, hot breads, lotto. Always a pleasure to visit. Especially with fresh fruits and vegetables.

A little bit more expensive

Being a local and using this 4square for over 30 years am disappointed on the staff and customer service in this shop. Rarely a hello or a thank you from staff, they are almost robotic.Yet the holiday makers seem to be treated a lot better.It's the locals that support your business through out the quieter periods. I will take my business to the village 4sqaure as they are so friendly.I do however like the new changes and better food selection that the new owner has done.

Great value clearance bakery items. Good section and prices.

Excellent attempts to look after your customers and staff during lockdown. Counters and trolleys sprayed after each use, one in one out and good distancing maintained. Hand sanitizer supplied too. From those of us who are vulnerable it's much appreciated. Thank you

Great one stop shop for almost everything, great selection of meat, fresh veggies, wine and beer. Also has lotto. For such a small place they really do almost have everything you need.

Wide selection of grocery products. Friendly efficient service. Visited during COVID restriction period. All safety protocols followed appropriately.

Never felt so unwelcome in a store ever.Last Wednesday are 7pm we pulled in here to grab some extra stuff for dinner. We were staying at a hotel around the corner and it was obvious the old European lady had some sort of issue with people that weren't locals or of colour.My sister and I said Hi"when we walked in and she looked at us in disgust.I then thought maybe she didn't hear us but it became clear she had some sort of issue with us when I went to get a lotto ticket. She was laughing away with the lady in front who was a local by the sounds of their convo but when I approached I again said "Hi" she ignored me then stood there staring at me once I choose what I wanted she basically threw the tickets at me and didn't say anything the whole time lady behind me approaches and she was all smiles and greeted her.I noticed her several times after that as we were grabbing our groceries giving us the stink eye it was extremely unprofessional and a sure fire way to make sure this 4square would lose customers.As I approached the counter to pay she darted off as to not serve us.However that was a godsend because we were then served by a lovely lady (maybe philippino).I personally will never go back to this 4square and have since told family and friends about this incident as I would hate for any of them that frequently visit Mangawhai over summer to endure the same disgusting experience. Thankfully there is two 4squares in mangawhai and the other one has lovely shop attendants that don't seem to care where you are from because all business is good business."
