Lone Star Dunedin, came in tonight for a Friday night meal. Had a server Bree who made our night and evening an absolute delight. Thank you very much Bree, you aswell as the great food will be the reason you have a repeat customer in us. Stay golden!

I came into the Lonestar on Sunday the 9th (last night) and had a really great time there! the service was lovely and i enjoyed the vibes of the restaurant. However i ordered the glen campbell burger (chicken burger) and enjoyed it initially since i was so hungry, although now i’m led to believe i have food poisoning from it. I’m currently showcasing majority of the symptoms of food poisoning caused by poorly cooked and under prepared chicken!!!!

Came here to dine on my birthday and boy, was I in for a treat! Lovely service overall, very friendly and was definitely spoilt.Ordered the ribs as per usual, cooked very well, had generous amount of sauce on top and was delicious! (Note that however I have found that when cooked in bulk (Lonestar was the venue for our end of year class dinner), I've experienced very dry ribs-inconsistency in-preparation?) great salad, not soggy at all, and average potato wedges, not super crisp. Also got offered salt andpepper seasoning in the fanciest way through a very long shaker by the flamboyant waiter and was definitely pleased!For dessert, creme brûlée and longhorn cheesecake were picked. Creme brûlée was delicious, the topping excellently crisp and sweet with a loose silky pudding baseunderneath. The cheesecake was well balanced with the whipped cream and it was very creamy and decadent. Not too sweet but chocolately enough for that sweet toothfix!On the house items were the kiwi pavola with a cute candle on top, and the waiter also offered us tea! Super fancy set up, and we had little cups of milk on the side too!Was such a lovely surprise. Definitely recommend going on your birthday for a special meal, had a lovely time! This ended up becoming my yearly birthday routine-ribs at lone star!

This is going to be a harsh review so please, be prepared.The restaurant itself is so dark, we almost needed a torch to see where to go. I understand the need for mood lighting but my husband and I were wondering what they were trying to hide!When our meals arrived, I was expecting something wonderful for the price. No. It wasn't wonderful.I described it like this on the night.This looks like there are three giant cauldrons in the kitchen. One for beige slops

Very poor service from the waitress waiting our table, she had no interest in doing her job properly. 40 minutes from ordering our meal to actually receiving the correct order after she repeatedly got it wrong and forgot things. The food was good once we got the correct order but the customer service is severely lacking.
