This place must have the highest sickness I've seen in a business. So far on 4 visits, they have been impacted by sickness every single time. Generally this means that though I am the second vehicle, I can still expect a 3-4 hour process. Today however I (and numerous others who had been waiting 15-30 mins pre opening) was turned away entirely as they only had two inspectors and simply couldn't process us (at this stage there were ~5 in front of me.While it is closest to me, in future I will travel further in future to a healthier business.

Paul was the driving assessor, he has a lovely manner, very calm & gave clear instructions. Office staff were also friendly and helpful. Thank you.

Booked driving test and when I turned up at the testing centre, find out that the test has been rescheduled without notifying to me. Complete waste of time of two of us.if it was other way around they would have charged me full fee for no show up.Useless and arrogant staff was out there.

To the old hag behind the counter that was rude to my wife this morning. You need to check yourself before you run this business into the ground. I would be giving this negative stars if it were possible. Looking at the previous reviews this establishment has received, it appears to be problem that has been going on for quite some time and it seems as though nothing is being done to resolve these issues/issue (The old hag - You know who you are). My wife and I will not be returning to this establishment, nor will our friends or family after we share this experience. On the bright side, the old hag did advise my wife to go to the opposition (AA Centre) which we will be doing from now on. I think it is definitely time for the directors to make some changes among the company or do some extensive customer service training before its too late.

I was deeply disappointed that the testing officer simply made-up things to fail me. I did everything the way a safe driver would on the road and that’s why I’ve never made an error driving on NZ roads in the last six years. I was fully prepared for my test but it’s as if the test officer had to fail me. He simply came up with excuses to fail me. The reasons the testing officer gave me were inaccurate. When my husband and I complained, the person at the counter took our numbers and said they would call us. They never did. Terrible customer service and surely NOT right to make excuses to fail people, whatever your reasons.

Initially fail a WOF for valid reasons, but after addressing the issues at my local garage, the recheck was failed on the same issue, after the garage insisted that it was fine. Had to return for a second recheck which was addressed well by the manager there, who did agreed it was not an issue. Happy with the service from the manager there but disappointed that I had to return a second time for the issue

I was recently a support person for my two sons who were con currently doing their restricted practical test at the Jipcho station. Steve L is the most incompetent assessor at this location anybody who has this assessor should immediately refuse, and ask for another assessor. I am a qualified assessor with US 4098 and have over 15 years of assessment and teaching. Steve L made false statements on the reports and was inconsistent with his instructions between the two boys. I have also learnt since this incident Steve L has a reputation of this inconsistent assessment.

Every single time I come into this establishment I’m always treated terribly. Whether I’m there on work business or personal.. The customer service here is absolutely astonishing. These people need to learn a thing or two about respect. I always come in with a warm hello and just get rude looks and very abrupt responses. Obviously they need a morale boost so they can stop hating their lives so much.

disgusting outcome. Picked an issue that has passed previously for years.. Needless to say this will be challenged. Motorhome via Blackwells. Opens up a can of worms in the motorhome industry.24 Nov - complaints lodged with NZTA and VTNZ.24 Nov further update - Claim light does not project forward - totally false - the white light is facing forward. Then claim 'At lease 75% of the light must be visible at all levels, forward of the vehicle, 'when in actual fact the VIRM states: 10. Where a lamp comprises an array of light sources (eg LEDs), fewer than 75% of these operate. Not in fact the light has to be visible. I have 3 LED array and they are functioning at 100%.Like I suggested this vehicle was passed by these guys in May - so why now fail - VIRM hasnt changed. They seem to bend the black and white of the VIRM to suit themselves, which I find offensive.7th Dec - NZTA were going to pass the vehicle as of Monday but yesterday back tracked suggesting a truck sitting at the height of my awning would fail to see the lights. We now search for trucks in NZ that have cabins at my awning length.8th Dec - a sister vehicle in all respects a twin - passed its COF last week. So the inconsistencies continue. Can you really trust inspectors - a question for the minister to answer.12th Dec - review by NZTA inspector today as I continue to challenge the inconsistencies by inspectors nationwide. Decision pending. It seems no one clearly knows the regulations as the inspector now goes back to VTNZ. So how are lay people suppose to trust the rules, if the black and white is left open to interpretation.
