Oasis Motel & Holiday Park Tokaanu

Some of these reviews are ludicrous , it’s true this place was horrible when we brought it my wife and I along with our daughter have worked 7 days a week for 6 years to renovate and remake . I recognise the names of the horrible things they have said they don’t mention speeding around the motel endangering innocent kids on holiday , removing batteries from smoke alarms again endangering everyone in the building next to them . If the above dribble puts of reckless stupid ignorant people from staying great . Our main customers are repeat we don’t bother or ask them for reviews seeing them back is all we need for all the internet bullies and fib tellers keep driving

If you are wanting to have a quiet stop over between the likes of Auckland to Wellington then this Oasis is the place. Once price per person covers all facilities. Hot pools and cold plunge pool tickle the hairs on your chest. Peacocks hang round your door to see what's offering. Caravan and motorhome sites (e-power included) are flat and slightly raised. Happy to stay over again.

Unfortunately I would not recommend this place for families.The pools and the area itself were dirty, the toilet facilities were not up to standard.Very poor care of the animals.The owners were very rude and very difficult to deal with.If you’re looking for an expensive dirty place to stay then the oasis is your place.

I wish we had stayed long enough to take pics. Definitely not 4 stars. It was cold, dinghy and run down. There was something splattered on the wall just inside the door. The lounge chairs were unusable and TV didn't work. I queried the 4 star rating and that I didn't feel I was at the same place I saw on the website. They pointed out the pics are of the room and they don't do the ratings. They were offended I even asked and when my husband went back to ask about the TV the male owner came out pointing his finger rudely at my husband and was just combative. It wasn't an environment we could stay in. We tried 5 other places in turangi and the standard and behaviors of the owners at oasis motels is very well known. Buyer beware DO NOT STAY HERE.

Incredibly kind owners! Had a family situation come up and couldn’t make the night. He was so reasonable and welcomed us back for the next time. We have only heard amazing things about this campsite. Excellent location. Thanku!!!!!

Thanks Jo and Mark. Very comfortable units for our little whanau of 3..warm, Tidy and clean.. Will definitely make use of the pools next time.

My feedback is that I booked a 4 night stay in January for mid April and volunteered a $136 deposit to do the decent thing. I canceled the booking a week later still in January owing to the Intel I received that this motel was housing the homeless payed for by the Governmentt. I was told that he would refund. I visited 11th April as he had not replied to follow up from me. He lately refused to refund. I had canceled nearly 3 months before intended occupancy. This place and its manager is disgrace. Am taking him to Small Claims Court as well as informing the NZMCA membership of over 130,000 caravans in the next magazine. Don't stay here. Better by far accommodation in Turangi.

Asthetically not a 'top of the line' motel...BUT... the people were friendly, .the service was great.. the bed was as comfortable as can be, plenty of pillows and towels. Breakfast was made exactly to my request..and to top it off...it was so clean, you could eat off the floor !! .I absolutely recommend Oasis.

My family and I stayed here back in February for a night. The room itself was fine. Didn't really have an issue with it, even though the bathroom was a little small. The location is kind of in the middle of nowhere, not great, but it worked for our purposes. However, the service was absolutely awful and I can't give more than 1 star overall because of this. We arrived to check in at around 10 PM and called the reception. The guy hung up on us a couple times, and then came outside to yell at us. He was very angry and rude, swearing at us and saying we should have called earlier." The room was already paid for and we just needed the room key. But I guess he was angry we dared to disturb him.
