Cape Kidnappers Golf Course
Unbelievable golf course, world class. The guy who works in the pro shop was extremely unwelcoming. After spending the money to play such a course I was very disappointed by the way we were received. There was confusion on the back 9 where we got mixed up with the hole layout and the member of staff stormed over and threatened us that we will be walking the rest of the round if it happened again. Conclusion, lovely place, won't be back due to the hospitality.

Special golf experience in New zealand.Wonderful view. Fairway is very wide and green is smooth. However a little confused when finding gate, 8km to club house.

Spent a morning at the driving range and putting practice in anticipation of the next day of golf. Super friendly environment and great coffee and lunch spot too.

Definitely a highlight of our trip. Despite being autumn when we played in March, the fairways were lush and greens ran true. Scenery was fantastic and wind made club selection a critical factor. Staff were extremely friendly and Clubhouse offered good selection of food.

Don’t know where to start. Personally I don’t think there is a better course in NZ so far that I have played. In my opinion it’s leaps and bounds ahead of Kauri Cliffs in every way, even though a lot of people say Kauri cliffs is better. The locker room is unmatched for me, the clubhouse inside is beautiful and well laid out. The staff beat every staff member at every other course that I’ve ever been to. They really bent over backwards for us the entire day. From having food ready when we arrived, to parking the car and moving it into the shade beside the front door when we were due to finish so it would be kept cool, to taking us out extra drinks on the course as we annihilated our water so quickly in the 30C heat, to friendly chat and constant service...at one point I asked where the bin was and the guy replied I’m right here, insisting that he took my rubbish for me, next level! They were seriously good!As for the course, loved it and enjoyed every single hole. My scoring wasn’t good for the day, but I simply didn’t care. Was blown away by the setting. Can’t wait to go back sometime, and fully recommend to everyone.

Before I start may I add, I have stewed over this review for the last week and my conclusion hasn’t changed. We travelled a combined time of 8 hours each way to play the course and at first when we arrived we thought we wouldn’t be disappointed. How we were wrong. Straight from the off we felt unwelcomed by the staff and it deteriorated as the hours went by. We unintentionally made a turn with the buggies and got treated like children for our misjudgement; you are not in a position to talk to us like that as a proshop boy to us working professionals. We pay top dollar for a bottom dollar experience. You’d like to think for $500 the course and the staff are top level. The course is, the facilities are, the staff wasn’t. Thanks to this we didn’t feel to enjoy the experience of a beer after which is half the experience after that drive & cost. It’s really ruined the overall trip and we left the course with a bad taste is our mouths.American lady - very nice! Great job! Keep up the good work.Proshop boy - get a grip, you work in the proshop, there’s plenty there.Lovely place. Will not be back in a hurry.

Outstanding golf course in unbelievable condition. The course layout is truly top shelf however can be a bit of a long day when it gets windy.Arguably the best course in NZ on a sunny day.James AshwinKakapo Business Sales
