Great little lake right near Huntly, I would recommend going earlier as there is less wind and the lake is much much smoother, the water is quite deep and relatively clear perfect for any water sports and swimming although jet skis are not allowed, only boats, a key is needed too to access the boat ramp

Nice spot for a picnic, walk and swim.Turn off at the KFC in Huntly. Keep following the road over the bridge and past Cobham Cres. It's the first turn on your right, when you see a 'train station' looking building. There is lots of parking here, along with boat ramps.The walk/ride/run is mainly flat and wide, with grassy areas to kick back for the day. Looks like it's a popular boating, fishing and swimming spot too, with the locals indulging on the day we were there. A nice place to have a break in your travels.

Lovely peaceful spot to practice open water swimming. There a also a gravel path around the lake to run or walk on. Approx 3 km on the shorter loop and 4.2km on the longer loop.

This lake is family friendly, pick a spot and go swimming, boating, paddle boarding or kayaking. With beautiful forest and bush it takes around 3/4 an hour depending on the leisure of your walk.

Awesome lake. Nice and quiet, perfect for families and young ones to have a splash. Looks like a great spot to bring the kayaks too.

Nice, easy walk. Flat, unsealed footpath. Quiet and peaceful. Good place for picnics. Nasty toilets though. There was a sign that said water is unsuitable for swimming (14/2).

It is a cold hard dark lake. And I dive in it, many meters deep. Its a fair challenge. And I have grown to appreciate her. The waters will sober you up in a way that feels mithological. It will sharpen you up like a tack. You are never more concious, and the world never seems so small as when you are on a cage fathoms deep in the abyss. And then its time to carry out your tasks.
