Apparently glass arrived cracked, not the 1st time this has happened. No customer service, can not even ring the branch, you have to go through to the call centre, dropped my car off at 7am, start work at 7.30, no courtesy car or drop off service, not helpful at all

After arranging with the company to drop off my car for windscreen replacement, the dealer said my car would be done 15:45. I arrived at the branch 16:30 and they still haven't fitted the glass. I explained that I have children to pick up at 17:00, this did not seem to bother them as I only received my car at 17:00.Not only did I incur extra charges for late pick up at kindy and school holiday program, but my one child was in tears when got to her, she thought I had forgotten her.I am deeply disappointed and will never use them again. I would not recommend using this company as they have no compassion towards your time and other commitments, even after an agreement was reached for a pick up time.Completely unprofessional!!!!

They made an appointment for 2pm told us it would take 3 hrs would be ready at 5 pm. Dropped car off to them then walked into town to kill some time, 4pm we get a call the windscreen has arrived damaged we will have to make new appointment.So we got the car back untouched 2 hrs into the job why then is it a 3hr job??????You cannot ring the branch I have had bad service before when they took a windscreen out of my car and I got it back with no windscreen they did not like how the old one was fitted and would not fit the new one I had to take it somewhere else.I must be a slow learner never again will I use smith and smith Whangarei. Show us your crack Novus from now on.

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED and VERY BAD experience with Smith and smith whangarei branch. No wonder overall ratings only 3.8, its branch manager David has 2 faces and I can not believe the way he handled my business.I contacted the branch for the big brand name(whangarei branch doesn't match the brand at all) as I am new to this market. What do I pay? $801+ 5 trips(over 700 Kms,I do not live in Whangarei, each round trip is over 140Kms, and I have to be their place during working hours on weekdays). What do I get? A second hand rear screen with scratches and being threatened by David, the branch manager, which is a SURPRISE to me because I couldn't tell he was unhappy until the moment he seriously threatened me. All I want is just a rear screen free of scratches as I paid $801 for a brand new rear screen. They also used broken vacuum to my car and created several scratches(my car is a brand new car).I paid $801 for a brand new rear screen, they installed one with some obvious marks on the screen, according to them, it is original tint issues which is unusual, they can consider to change another rear screen for me, but David, the manager, need see this and make that decision. It took several coordination(including one trip to the site)for me to talk to David on the phone(I did not have his number and he did not call me as promised until I called the hotline,escalating this issue),confirmed a time to meet him at the branch so that he can view and make the decision. While viewing the screen during my 4th trip to the branch, David agreed it was tint issue with the original screen and decided to change another one for me. After another several coordinations(David's mobile always on voice mail)I drove to the branch 5th time for brand new rear screen replacement, David asked me to view a screen, according to him, he was going to replace with that screen. It was not clean, so I used wipes to clean it myself and did not see any noticeable scratches.1.5 hours later, David drove my car to the car park around 50 meters away, although he knew I was waiting in the reception and they usually park customer car in the lot right next to reception. I walked to my car, 1st sight I saw 4 obvious scratches so I came back to David, he said he was busy, so I waited in the car park for 10 to 15 minutes, then I went to reception again, told David this is even worse than 1st screen he just replaced, he told me that is the glass

The worst ever experience we had so far.- Went in end of January for a windscreen replacement. Wrong windscreen there, regardless the correct data from the car and the insurance- 2 weeks later, new appointement, new excuss.... windscreen not in stock, S&S has to order the windscreen from Japan. New appointment END OF MAY!!!- End of may

Cracked Windscreen replaced in allocated time. (Insurance)Also replaced front & rear wiper blades.Next day was raining and Auto wipers not operating correctly so a phone call to Smith & Smith with same day appointment the fixed the problem in a few minutes. ( recallabrated car computer.)Could not fault staff who fixed my problem. Would use again when needed.

The first glass cracked, so this is the second go at the job. Looks like a trainee installed as silicone oozing out, well there is little chance of water leak! The rubber is not Toyota original or recommended. It is 3 or 3 time chunky then the original.Very poor job.
