I would not recommend this law firm. The staff were very unfriendly and unprofessional. Even though I stated I no longer required their services, they continued to charge me for unnecessary work. I was advised by my bank that the information they provided was extremely basic and was not worth the cost at all. Avoid these lawyers at all cost.

Nice office space with tree views. Friendly service from the beautiful ladies at the desk. Dealing with the lawyer was a breeze...no time wasted, which is always ideal. Zoe is quite charming, care you dont fall in love at first sight! Highly recommended.

I have been using Davenports for several years having been unhappy with the service (and cost!) of some of the more “branded” Law firms in Auckland. My small business has needed a mix of leasing, employment and Trust advice and they have been wonderful to deal with. During the difficult Covid lockdowns the free Webinars (run by Bronwen Newcombe) were invaluable and when I needed some Trust documents attended to with some urgency they quickly delivered.No one likes legal fees but I have found their charging to be transparent and very reasonable for the level of service. I have recommended Davenports to several colleagues and would do so again without hesitation.A very happy client.

I don't often complain about businesses, but I had quite a few ethical concerns with how my trust money was disbursed and their fees paid including to a secondary lawyer with which I had other personal matters not related to the sale my property using the authority of the terms of engagement but not communicating the costs with me first. When you sign a contract with them, you are basically giving up your rights to dispute any part of their actions, and they can charge whatever they please in addition to what they have quoted you. Therefore, if you go with this law firm then prepare for a costly experience.

USELESS and MISERABLE organisation that will rip you off!They will charge you for absolutely everything including so called “free consultation” to understand your matter. I so regret I came to this company for an advice. They didn’t help in any way and I didn’t even receive what was agreed from them but they charged for it anyway.DON’T make my mistake, don’t deal with this company!!! But if you do, discuss the price you will pay and the result you will receive in advance and do it in writing.Absolutely terrible services!!! So sad I had to give them one star because they don’t deserve even one star!

Dealing with this company regarding Probate on my mother's estate was the worst, most stressful thing I have had to deal with. AVOID this firm completely!!Firstly they took it upon themselves to take over the estate without our knowledge clocking up many expensive hours of fees. We were charged more than double what we were quoted and when we queried it were ignored. The incompetent Legal Exec we dealt with has now left and all communications sent to her have been ignored by the firm - things we were not aware of which has held us up by many months trying to sort out the enormous mess she left behind. The nightmare continues months later.

As someone who is new to needing legal advice and help with purchasing a home, it was very important that we found a firm we could trust and that had our best interests. Claudia Holmes from Davenports Law, has made this experience so much easier than we anticipated. Claudia explains everything clearly and has supported us through any tricky areas of S&P agreements etc.. She is always available and very friendly which has made our numerous interactions smooth and as stress free as possible. We were referred to Tamiko Shack through some friends for conveyancing after we purchased our first property. I have dealt with lawyers many times before, but never for property related reasons, so the process was new to me.In spite of this, I found the process to be surprisingly simple and hassle-free. I was particularly impressed by Tamiko for a number of reasons. Not only were her replies ridiculously fast during times where immediate responses were imperative, she was also extremely professional, gave us ample warning for different milestones throughout the process, and was clear and up front about pricing/pricing updates. When paperwork was prepared for signing, our obligations and rights were diligently explained and all paperwork was accurate.Some other reviewers have commented on prices changing during the process. Here’s my experience. Davenports will quote an estimate and update you regularly throughout the process if the price may change. Our property had a high number of interests on the title, so we knew the base price was modestly quoted compared to what we would get charged. Quite simply, there was just more paperwork for them to review. Tamiko warned us of this before starting work on the title and LIM. Other reviewers perhaps went into the process without considering this and were shocked when the price changed.Overall, I will be highly recommending Tamiko and her team moving forward. Tamiko was a big part of removing the administrative burden and related stress that can come with buying a property. Thank you!!
