Parked at the bottom and walked up, has steps to help the climb up, good views over the bay, great walks around to spot some of NZ fauna.

I lived in Wellington but have never known about this place. It is great to keep the memorial and history like this. The memorial is beautiful and I felt something deep in my heart.

Nice trekking course. Not that hard or exhausting course comparing to others. Nearby is a peaceful and scenic seaside. It will be better if you have your own car. Don't forget visit Moa Point as well.

I am confused that the directions from, say, Lyall Bay ignore Moa Point Road, and will notr accept a drag to that road.

Some nice walk up the hill. There is a dog walkway. It is nice. It noble to see war adversaries exchange memorials. Peace for all ;)I enjoyed it personally.

It's a great viewing site to look out towards the lower North Island, watch the planes come in and see the Southern Alps Kaikora range on the tip of the South Island.

As a Turkish person, I was so proud to see Ataturk Memorial and how he is respected on the other side of the world for us. I would like to say thanks to New Zealand for choosing this amazing spot for the Memorial.
