A very interesting place to visit especially if yr keen on old Napier history as there are quite a few historical graves . There's a notice board at the entrance showing graves of interest along with photos and a little bit of the history of the people buried.A lot of the graves have been cleaned up making the stones easier to read. Care does need to be taken though if you walk off of the main path as the ground slopes quite a bit and in the wet weather the ground is slippery.With all the trees there you can see many tui birds who are not shy and come down very low on the branches.

This is a beautiful old cemetery. There are some histories of the deceased written up at the entrance which are quite interesting.
