Awesome pub. Great atmosphere. Fantastic and friendly staff. The only place empty was the dining room (a bit too prim) otherwise a must do place.

Three couples staying in the immaculate Garden Suites situated at the back of the main hotel. Lovely & spacious well-appointed rooms (and quiet), each one themed & furnished differently which added to the overall charm. The rooms looked out into a large private courtyard where you can sit and enjoy the sun. The hotel is centrally located and within walking distance to many eateries, pubs and vineyards. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We all enjoyed our 3 nights stay and will definitely book again when we're next in Martinborough.

Stopped in to have a couple of pints and use the wifi, ended up ordering food as it looked nice. The Smash Burger was the best I’ve had for a while and got a good portion of fries!Would def pop in again if I was in the area.Service was fast and with a smile!Thank you guys :-)

For what you get, and what it's hyped up to be (words in french dont make it better) it's overpriced. Our table had an array of food and the results were mixed at best. The pork dish was dry, hard to chew, and had some celery roots with apples slices aren't worth 39 bucks. The steaks fought against our knives which was a new experience. Overall, cheaper and better places to eat, 15 bucks for bread and oil is pricey for sure. You can tell by my lack of photos, we were ready to leave pretty early...

Location-wise, the Martinborough Hotel cannot be beat. Walking distance to breakfast/lunch/dinner, and an easy bike-ride to the vineyards makes for a perfect location. All of the staff are super friendly, bed was comfortable, water pressure/temp in shower were excellent, internet was good, and everything was clean/well maintained. Would happily return on our next visit to Martinborough and will recommend to family/friends/clients.

A lovely building with lots of charm. My husband and I enjoyed a drink in the bar before our dinner reservation. When we sat at out table we ordered the bread with Dukkah which was nice. Can't really go wrong with that. However our main course was a different story.I ordered pork with apple slaw and I really did try to enjoy it but it was so overcooked and dry it was difficult to swallow so I had to send it back. My husband ordered the beef fillet, always asks for medium but received it rare. He ate his meal because he thought it was tasty in spite of it being rare. The young man that served us was lovely and he was very apologetic. They also wanted to charge us $10 for still water when I asked for tap water.Every meal we've had in NZ until this one has been amazing. Very disappointing.

Loved this hotel a lot during our stay. Service was warm, friendly and efficient. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. Rooms were very comfy too! Only thing is that it gets very noisy at night when youre trying to sleep. But they provided ear plugs! Thank you!!

I ordered the salmon for breakfast, and it was so dry and salty I couldn't even eat it. We ordered something like brioche french toast, and it was so soggy and uneatable. The coffees were gross, too. They allowed us to knock these items off our bill as we didn't touch them but still paid $80 for two breakfasts, which were eatable but not worth $80. It was very disappointing.
