Well priced and close to town. A hot spot for car break ins and vehicle theft. Don’t leave any valuables in your car.

The car park is host to a farmers/craft market on certain Sundays. When we visited the market in April 2017 there were only about 10 stalls and there weren't any great deals.

Weekly break ins, especially if you park near the walk way and have anything in your car. Usually smashed back window. Cameras operating but when police tried to request footage council said they don't have access to them.

Had a vehicle stolen from here, you pay a fee for a “secure” park but it’s not secure at all and the cameras don’t even record. Heard a tree blew down and took out four cars. Additionally this is the site of an old Māori pa site, that was buried after the Claudelands bridge was built. So I’m not even sure why you have to pay for it since tangata whenua and all. What proceeds go back to the tribe that originally occupied the stolen lands? Probably none and the money definitely doesn’t don’t go to the operation of running cameras. Just to keep the old pa site buried. Seriously, will just park further down and park on the road for free.

BEWARE! ⚠️ WARNING. DO NOT PARK HERE OR ON 3 MYRTLE STREET CARPARK. IT IS A NEST FOR CRIMINALS AND COUNCIL IS NOT DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT OR PREVENT IT. My car was broken into 4 weeks ago on River Road sonning carpark, nothing was stolen, they just want to cause damage and stress. The cameras do not work. There is no guard. I then moved and parked on 3 MYRTLE STREET, this time they have successfully stolen my car and wrecked another car last week Tuesday. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
