THISTLE SWEET SHOPNow where do l start with this little lollie shop full of eighty odd years of history, with a new owner behind the helm, this is a family affair.First time in this shop it was special to see all those goodies on display, lovely big glass jarsof yesterday, the home made fudge the owner makes, very very nice.The imported lollies, they have just taken over the business so waiting on the imported lollies to come in. Decorative jars on the table you can buy.What a fabulous little shop to visit, people reallydo need to visit this icon of a business to keep it going.Take a drive to Wanganui and buy some fudge.Thankyou Louise.

I remember visiting the Thistle Sweet Shop on a family holiday in the 1980s and being blown away by the beautiful selection of sweets and lollies. Today’s visit more than 30 years later was just the same. I’m thrilled that the shop is still family owned and still going strong. They now sell cake decorating and chocolate making supplies, too.

The best selection ever of lollies, sweets and old fashion goodies. A step back in time to the peppermint twist and frosted peanut days then transported back with the freshly made daily fudge a must visit for all sweet enthusiasts.
