Hot & Spicy Pot

Five starts for food coz it was just perfect. It was our first time trying this place and it did not disappoint. Good potion size as well, we had to do takeaway as we couldn’t finish. The pricing was decent too. It’s a very good option to go to during winters. Will come back for sure.

Pretty yum, great selection, fast service, extra topping tray still is not as superior as Zhang Liang malatang in north shore from what I’ve compared so far, cost is fair, and the options are pretty standard (as of 28/5/23 4.9/100g). The stir fry options wasn’t the best I’ve had and I prefer one out east 100 spicy house I believe it is, but nevertheless a decent place in the heart of dom rd!

The service now is extremely terrible, the girl at the checkout doesn't know how to smile and how to say thank you or sorry (hitting off the chopsticks on our table and just left), every cup has oil floating in it. She is destroying the effort of the chef, if she doesn't want the holiday pay should just stay at home and take a rest. Customers don't pay extra 15% on public holiday for this. Won't come back recently.

A lot of choices for pick your own. Good place to have a hot & spicy pot when the weather is cold.They only have 3 different soup paste. You can choose either stir fried or hot pot. Price is $4.9/ 100 gr. I think you can get a free drink during the happy hour from Monday to Friday if your food is >$30.Will come back for sure.

My friend and I visited on Saturday evening 13/05/2023. There were two instances that made me give this place a 1 star. It used to be good, but after this recent experience, I am afraid I will not be visiting anymore.When we were paying for our food we told the server that we did not want peanuts in our sauce. When it was served to us, low and behold, peanuts were topped on our meal. We called the server again and reiterated that we could not have peanuts as my friend was allergic, the server sassed us and tried to blame us instead. His point was that we only said no peanuts and did not specify it was because of an allergy. Regardless of food preference or allergy, if a customer says no peanuts, that means no peanuts.The second instance was when I entered the female bathroom and saw two cockroaches in the left corner. They were live and moving, definitely scarred me for a bit.Overall it was not worth the $90 we had to pay. Very disappointed in how this place has turned out.

The best Malatang place in Auckland! You can choose the spicy level. Even hot is quite spicy, so be careful!

I really miss malatang korean style but i couldn’t find any in central cbd so i always going this chinese hot pot place and i ordered non spicy soup and at home i added chilli oil and peanut sauce so yummm! $37 haha lil pricy but how can i made this home so..

This restaurant was an experience! We got to choose to our different ingredients for our bowls and choose the spice level for them to make it to. I got the less spicy option and it was really yum!! My friend got the really spicy one and i would definitely recommend reassessing your spice ability before challenging it cause it was on another level! I will have to say that the service was quite poor and they aren’t very suited for allergies and other dietary requirements. We even experienced other people leaving because they were unsatisfied with their order. I think the seating is okay but a little squished and some of the bowls they gave us weren’t very clean. The cashiers weren’t very kind as well but atleast the food is good and flavourful.
