Father Ted's Original Irish Pub
Awesome atmosphere. Loved the Steinlager Gold Medal and the Shanky’s Whip shots were amazingly smooth and great tasting. I’m going to pursue to find the Shanky’s Whip in or ship it to the USA. Appreciate meeting fellow Irishmen even if I’m not full Irish by blood.

If you want a warm welcome, good hearty grub and a nice glass of guiness/wine, then this place is perfect. Will not be for everyone if you need something a bit fancier. Family of 3 and the drinks and food were very reasonable in an expensive city. Good music and pool table too

Lively in the evening. Food coming out of the kitchen looked good. Mixed crowd from old Irish men yelling over a game of pool to young travellers. There was a fantastic musician playing Monday night! The bloke was Irish and played a flute, a pipe, drum, guitar, and sang a bunch of Irish songs. It was fantastic!

Not really an Irish pub. Only in name. Had the fries loaded with cheese and gravy not a combination I'd had before and not one I thought would work. But they were amazingly good. Would have them again.Very kind bar maid helped us get a taxi when we were having problems. Didn't realize she had even paid for it until we came to pay the driver!! I think her name was Amy. So a big thank you to her. Hopefully will be able to return to repay her but we are here only for a short time.

Decent solid pub in the middle of town should be 3.5 didn't have food bit looked good.. would've been a better night if the Douth African coaches hadn't showed up and caused grief..

Home away from home in the heart of the city - the staff are SO lovely, the NZ cider is dry and tasty, the Guinness is good, and they have a pool table! The music is perfect. Sure it's a bit pokey but the people make up for it. I'm a big fan of the outdoor bench. Long live Father Ted's and don't forget to tip (ah go on... Go on, go on, go on)
